   This is such a lovely pub and the staff are so welcoming. The food is delicious. There wide range of different beverages to choose from.This pub gets 10 out of 10 for me. Keep up the great work.

   Asked for medium steak camr out blue the blood was disgusting, asked for it to be cooked again i could barely chew it. Had a horrible smell to it. Heard people behind me complaining about there ribs too. Wont return and dont recommend either!

   Three of us had a lovely meal. All having something different with a selection of side orders. Food was very good and thoroughly enjoyed. Our server Julie was excellent, recommended a gin to try along with cocktail suggestions. Will be back again

   We had the Sunday roast. At 2 o'clock they didn't have beef only a more expensive beef rib. The rib was all fat . The tiny amount of meat was nice to be fair . The veg was overdone. It's not an exaggeration to say I've cooked veg the night before and had it less fibrous and flavourless. Potatoes were again really overdone. The kids portion interestingly seemed fresher. Turkey was dry. The whole dinner felt like leftovers. Guinness was the worst I've had in the Huyton area. Pub is clean. Probably a nice spot for a match but I'll not be back . Reading through reviews and the owner says that if it was raised while on site something would be done. I informed the waiter. I got a "oh sorry"

   such and lovely friendly pub. staff welcoming and couldn’t do any more to help. dog friendly which is great with water and treats for them. jo has turned this pub right round best manager we have had. Really friendly and always goes extra mile for her customers. pity it couldn’t get refurb as very dated and old but don’t let that put you off. food is amazing and all ways hot and tasty

   Jo is just great, always smiling, upbeat, nothing is too much trouble for her. Always amazing, well cooked food, delivered promptly and piping hot. Really nice coffee for a pub. Nothing bad to say bout this place, that's why I keep going back!

   We came in to the Hare and Hounds after the annual Christmas tractor run. The world cup was also on so the pub was very busy but we had managed to get parked and seated fairly easily as 4 adults and 2 children. I originally wanted to order on the app but this was too tricky for adding requests on food and swapping the chips out for salad etc so went to the bar to order which worked out better as I was desperate to try the Funfair Sharer and it was showing out of stock on the app. Jo kindly checked with the kitchen and confirmed it was available. There were a good mix of drinks and festive specials. We ordered the sharer plus 2 children's meals, a steak, a chicken and beef burger. The burgers and kids meals were quite overcooked but feedback from everyone was good. My husband and I shared the funfair. This was definitely a me type meal and not what he would have chosen so it would be nice if you could order it as a single portion. The meal consists of 2 chicken burgers with candy floss, boneless sour cherry cola glazed chicken wings on a bed of popcorn, a pile of chips. Onion rings. A pot of sour cherry cola dip, a dip dab sherbet and 2 cream filled doughnuts with chocolate sauce. As someone who is very into sweet and savoury mixed dishes this was my ultimate meal but it's definitely not for everyone. A brilliant price at £16.49 in my opinion! Throughout the the meal Jo was attentive and very friendly and always checked we had what we needed and we were enjoying our food. Every pub needs a Jo she is a breath of fresh air.

   My local have pub amazing atmosphere Julie is such a lovely host and really goes above and beyond what’s expected to make sure you are happy and comfortable so good with children and such a pleasure to be around bring all my family in as she is so lovely and welcoming. My first ever review as I feel she really needs the recognition on what an amazing job she does well done hare and hounds
