Ordered a paella was tasteless and frozen chicken had no taste too. I asked for salt and pepper and ketchup and mayo to add to the flavour because the rice was bland, also, if you can see and everyoneβs photo that has posted about their Paella, The rice is pre-made which is not like the authentic Paella.

Humo Watford We visited Humo last night. Some dishes were truly excellent, while others need improvement. Calamari: The biggest miss β described as chipirones (baby squid) but served as generic frozen rings, greasy and without seasoning. Beef Bone Marrow: Outstanding β perfectly seasoned with a lovely artisan touch. Beef Tacos: Very tasty, though the base was a bit too moist. Smoked Beef Paella: The highlight of the evening β perfectly balanced in flavour and highly recommended. Mochi: Offered off-menu, but bland and underwhelming. Wine Service β An Area for Improvement: We ordered two glasses of wine, a Merlot and a Malbec. They arrived with noticeably different levels. The reason given was disappointing: the bartender was reluctant to open a new bottle of Merlot to ensure both glasses were poured at the correct and consistent level/dosage. This was particularly frustrating when we watched them ultimately have to open a new bottle of Merlot anyway to complete my glass. Consistency in wine pouring is a key aspect of professional service. Despite these points, the waiting staff provided excellent service throughout the evening β friendly, attentive, and professional. We hope to return soon and look forward to seeing the overall experience reach its full potential. All the best, Alan & May

Excellent service from all members of staff. We were looked after mainly by Johnny but shown to our table by a young gentleman who looked of Indian/Asian origin as well as a couple of waitresses who looked to be shadowing the waiters. Service was relaxed yet attentive, efficient and helpful without being at all overbearing. Food was great, menu appeared small initially with one A4 side of a la carte options and a set menu for Β£29.90 on the reverse. Flexible dining - set meals need not be purchased by all diners at the table so we enjoyed two set menus and a few tapas between 4, which still left us incredibly full and unable to enjoy dessert at the restaurant (so we took it away, no problem). Overall, a bit pricey at Β£180 for 4 but we were very well-fed and happily so. Not somewhere I would eat often but good for occasions.

We had a great meal. The food was delicious and the ambiance was nice. We were impressed with the service as our waitress was friendly and attentive. She asked if it was a special occasion and when we mentioned it was our anniversary, she brought us our deserts with candles on them.

We went on a Friday night for our Anniversary, the weather had been great but we sat inside and it was nice and cool. There was a DJ playing old skool RnB which was a nice touch. The staff were super friendly and we met the owner, who was really lovely and very passionate about the food. The croquette were amazing and very authentic, we also had tacos to start which were delicious. The tiramisu ( which Iβm always a big fan of as a dessert) came with a Japanese twist but was inspired and also really delicious. A great spot and well worth checking out for an intimate meal, big party or even a family dinner.

The restaurant was ok, atmosphere and general appearance was nice. The service was good, only downfall on going before dinner is there is no one to do cocktails. The steak was served but after a few minutes the food was cold. My partner said it wasnβt what he expected for an aged steak which was a surprise because he loves steak. I had the octopus with mash but there was hardly any mash and my food was not very warm and nothing that special for the price. We enjoyed our starters more than the mains. Only criticism is on price and quality of food. I would suggest to steal clear of steak, octopus and the calamari pao bun. Overall was good to experience humo as this was on my list but overall I wouldnβt go again and price wise I didnβt think it was worth it.

What a find! The tapas menu is amazing and the drinks are unlike any others I've had in the area. Great staff and ambience too.

Very quiet on a Friday afternoon. Gave it five stars as the lunchtime 2 courses for Β£19 made everything right. Friendly staff & kitchen. They were trying hard but too much brown food on brown plates which even micro greens couldnβt redeem. Lamb chops were excellent. Good conceptually but I would have been disappointed if full price. Huge, modern-looking place. Not affiliated with βHumoβ in Mayfair.

This is a gem in Watford! Great food and a high standard of execution combined with a plush and ambient venue and attentive staff. Recommended and certainly will be visiting again to indulge in the cocktails!
