Been going here since the beginning of 2025 after my mum and dad told us about it. Very helpful with my girlfriends coeliac, because it's Greek cuisine most of the food is gluten-free for anyone who has allergy requirements. Staff are absolutely lovely and the food is great! We go every few weeks, can't wait to go back! All round 10/10!
Lovely place, amazing staff who are so welcoming. Food was so good and the portion sizes are plentiful, make sure you're hungry! The restaurant is very authentic as is the food. We will 100% be returning and would recommend to families, groups of friends and couples, it's a fantastic experience for all! And not to mention great value for money too!

We were going out for dinner for my partners Mum's birthday tonight and thought we had made a reservation at a different restaurant but were told on arrival, that their reservation site hadn't been working, and they didn't have our booking. While outside the restaurant thinking where we should go we noticed a Greek Restaurant on the same road and called in on the off-chance that they could fit us in (7 adults & 3 children) and they were happy to accommodate us. The food was lovely, and we had a brilliant meal. The staff were so nice and great with the children and they even brought a cake out with candles and sang 'Happy Birthday'. It was a great night and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Acropolis for a great meal and great service.
After our reservation was not acknowledged by a different restaurant, party of 10 and nowhere to go, we stumbled across this little gem!! They couldn’t of been more accommodating at such short notice. Food was amazing! Kebabs, salads, steaks, perfection. Also the best chips ever!!! The staff are what makes this place extra special and deserve so much credit. Thanks so much for a great evening and I can’t wait to come back
Great little Greek gem tucked away around a corner in West Derby Village. Brilliant service from homely staff, amazing food with ample portions and splendid decor giving great ambience. There's also a good selection of drinks & spirits available from the bar - Greek favourites like Mythos lager and plenty of decent ouzo. Had the Halloumi kebab which comes with rice, chips and a whole host of grilled Mediterranean veg - will come back soon to explore more of this Greektastic menu!
What a discovery yesterday night looking for a place that would accommodate us very last minute. If you like real Greek food, no fancy sauces, no fancy names, just hearty, real, freshly made food, Acropolis in West Derby is your place. The food is wholesome, the kind of flavours any Mediterranean person grew up with. The staff and the owners are so welcoming, and can't do enough to make you feel at home. And by the way, they claim to make the best chips in Europe, and it's not a lie.
Visited this restaurant with my daughter, partner and Granddaughter for my birthday. We were enjoying meal until my daughter found a hair in her dinner. We made the server aware and they said it was a hair from a lettuce. As my daughter is a chef she politely pointed it out it was not and was a black hair which you could plainly see. The server took her plate into the chef and we could instantly hear them laughing loudly in the back. The server again come back and offered a replacement meal which she declined and as no longer felt she could eat as it has put her off. The chef apparently offered to give us a discount off the meal and a free piece of cake. Upon receipt of the bill they had deducted £7.50 off the bill which we disagreed with and the server went into see him again to which we again heard loud laughing. The response was because you have ate half the meal they discounted half the price. We decided to pay the bill as couldn’t be bothered arguing the toss. We will not return or recommend to family or friends due to the attitude of the staff.
