Petit Nantais is a truly special experience and one of our favourite restaurants. Ambiance, service and food are just sublime. The magnifique touches to the cocktails or a special request to your order is what elevates your experience here. Consistently excellent whenever we go - Winter is so cozy and Summer is lovely when the windows are open. There is always something for everyone on the menu and the specials everyday are an experience in itself! Kim, JP and all of the staff make everyone feel so welcome, of all ages. We agree - please never change! Aside from maybe the occasional evening featuring an accordion musician!

WOW, what can I say! Food was amazing β¦ if you want a restaurant which is family run, an excellent specials menu from Crab/Lobster to Fillet Steak, then go to Le Petit Nantais. It has a great atmosphere, excellent romantic venue for couples to a Sunday afternoon venue with the family. We went on Sunday afternoon for my husbands birthday and started with Oysters, followed by French Onion Soup & main course was Steak Rossini with Foie Gras on a bed of Crostini with Dauphinoise potatoes. To finish we had a a medley of all the desserts! Rude not too! We were not only surprised by the standard of food but the presentation was superb. We can highly recommend this restaurant. Price β¦ spare no expense but it was worth every penny. There are not many restaurants Iβve been too that offer such a wide range of fresh fish and there must have been over 15 specials, JPβs partner reeled them off personally and we wanted to try them all! Canβt wait to go again!

Exceptional place to eat! We visited on Saturday 6 September with friends and family to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. Our experience was just superb! Exceptional food, service, atmosphere, ambience and we all had such fun! Thank you so much! We cannot wait to return! AND thank you for my recipe! Best wishes from Marcus and Dee

A true local gem β a family-run restaurant for over 25 years. Both the service and food are top quality. Guests can soak in the atmosphere and truly taste the love that goes into each meal. Skip the menu and focus on the specials β the list is extensive, so donβt hesitate to snap a photo before deciding of what to order. Surprisingly, the owner is a fan of rum, and his collection and knowledge are impressive. Outstanding restaurant - highly recommended to all.

Had a fabulous meal at this amazing, family run restaurant. My wife and I raided the βSpecialsβ menu, sharing Prawn starters and Monkfish for mains. We both felt nicely full without over-eating. Food was de,icious and the service was excellent - thank you Jean Phillipe and Kim for bringing a bit of France to the UK.

Wonderful place, great for special occasions. The food is exceptional! Delicious fresh oysters, the most amazing steak and the mix of deserts. Very knowledgeable staff/owners, always happy to explain the detail about the food and wine. I'm looking forward to going back there again.

Food was delicious, garlic snails was lovely and out of the shell. The wait was more than 30 mins due to chef cooking fresh.

What a pleasure it was to dine here. The staff are attentive and friendly, the owner, "JP", makes an excellent dirty Martini and his bar sports a selection of over 200 rums. The menu looked somewhat limited at first but then the waitress reeled off a large selection of special dishes, not listed on the menu; I was spoilt for choice but the description of the roast Turbot on black pasta caused me to salivate so I had that, it was delicious and an excellent choice. Desert was also very special, we couldn't decide what to have so the waitress decided for us; a sampler board of all the deserts. An expresso and a tot of Peruvian rum would normally be the perfect end to a perfect meal but JP went one step further. During our conversation he let slip that he blended his own rum; everyone needed a hobby during COVID lockdown. He gave me a generous snifter and the layered flavour of his blend almost made me weep with joy. That experience was the perfect end to the evening, I'm looking forward to my next visit.

When a owner puts so much passion into it. And you can feel it as much as there. It is always a good place to go to. The carte menu is noce but conservative. Donβt hesitate to ask for today special. You will often get things that might never be available ever again. Trust your senses and let it go. The journey is worth it. I would say the place will probably fit the best to couple as it is really cosy and welcoming. If you bring your date here you will leave a long lasting effect. If you go out with your mates - they will like you forever for it.

A very romantic and charming French bistro with great food. Service was impeccable and the owner was a delight. Would recommend all the dishes we had (see photos). The chef also made an appearance to see how we were getting on was a nice surprise. Menu appears to change and they have lots of different specials which is what's most popular with locals.
