I found this place on the hunt for beef tallow fries as I have stopped eating seed oils. We travelled here from Ealing on a Saturday night. As you step in you can smell the aroma of the beef tallow. We got a portion of large chips and the codβs bites. The food was delicious, good portion size and at a fantastic price. It was busy but we were served quickly and the staff were really nice. You have gained another regular customer, canβt wait to come back once you open after the Christmas break.

Very tasty fish and chips cooked in beef dripping, which definitely makes the difference. I had the "small" fish and chips lunch deal - which includes mushy peas for Β£7, and is anything but small. The taste was amazing, the batter could have been crispier - but I still scoffed it all with great joy. The service was very friendly and efficient. It was more than worth spending 2 hours on buses from Bromley to get to. I am almost certainly going to return.

Drawn like moths to a particularly inviting flame, he promise that their fishy fare is cooked in beef dripping (just like your gran used to do) lures us out on this ominous October evening. We're greeted with a resolutely old school chippy that appears to have not been updated in a good twenty years, and feels all the more welcoming for the fact. A comprehensive menu offers delights beyond the usual fish and chips (think burgers and kebabs) but it's the fish that's the star of day; fresh, tasty and utterly decadent, both fish and chips are next level delicious and we cannot wait to return, if only to try the Mushy Pea Fritter....

After watching Gary Eats review I thought Iβd give the Β£6.50 lunchtime fish and chips a go but it was a huge disappointment. Firstly the fish was not made to order as it was handed over almost immediately after ordering. I then jumped into my car outside and βdived inβ to the eagerly anticipated fish meal but straight away found the chips were soggy. The fish consisted of three pieces, one of which was actually chewy. One piece was reasonably edible as it was fairly crispy but the other was just soggy. All the items were very greasy. I tried my best to eat the food but I had to give up after a third of the way through. The remainder went in the bin. This may be a cheap takeaway but offers poor value if you have to chuck two thirds away. So disappointed.

Felt like I travelled back in time stepping into this authentic establishment. So pleased that they use beef dripping like the old days, much healthier than seed oils. So impressed by value for money and portion size. Delicious cod bites and chips with mushy peas. Will be coming back and recommending.

Best fish and chips around. Since covid I have been ordering via the website or app. This is great as they give you a pick up time. At busy times you may wait up to 10 minutes but better than what could sometimes be 45 minutes in a queue pre covid.

Best fish and chips for miles. Gets very busy weekend evenings, use on line service to order in advance.

Best fish, chips, kebab! You name it they have it and itβs amazing! You can always tell how amazing a places food is when the customers outside are happily waiting! This is how the place looks most weekends! You donβt mind waiting that little extra for incredible food! Also the staff are super nice, they have hundreds of customers a day but will never forget the regulars orders!
