Finally a pub with delicious food! The pub has a great amount of space and friendly staff. We had scallops and beef croquettes for starters, I'm not mad on beef but they were delicious. For mains we had the seabass and pork with scallops, really happy with the portions sizes. And for dessert we had the chocolate bomb and toffee creme brulee.

This restaurant has an amazing setting with a beautiful riverside view and a great atmosphere. You can see people rowing small boats, practicing boating, cycling along the river. The river is calm and peaceful — it’s such a relaxing spot and definitely worth visiting. There’s plenty of free parking available; you just need to register your car when you arrive. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the service is excellent — the staff are very attentive, even offering cushions to make sure you’re comfortable while seated. There are both outdoor and indoor seating areas available.

Had a lovely experience at The Albany with my partner and our 7 week old newborn. Initially booked the lower terrace but the staff were able to move onto the upper terrace without any issues. The food was out in a flash and was exceptional and the beef was a real hit. My partner commented it was one of the best roast dinners she had in a while. We were joined by some friends later and rather than being rushed out the door we were offered food for them (even though we had already finished pudding). They ordered and the food was super speedy as with us. Shout out to Daisy who looked after us. Really great service. Will be back again for sure! Tom, Jenny and Ava

Saw this by chance on a river cruise from Kingston to Hampton Court and decided I'd like to go for my birthday lunch a few days later. Tucked away you'd never know it was there down a side street and past some pretty cottages. First impressions very good though confused by "The Albany" and so many yards sign that is past the steps yo the main entrance. There's no gate to the terrace so don't understand why it's there. Once we'd found the entrance, along with another couple, we were warmly welcomed and given a choice of tables on the terrace. Our server, Harry, was very friendly and attentive, took our order and served our food within a short period of time during which we enjoyed the view from our table of the river, the passenger boats, wildlife, etc which was delightful. I had the pork belly which was absolutely delicious the crushed roast potatoes and vegetables were underneath the pork so it doesn't look much in the photo but the meal was amazing and filling. My husband had the chicken which was equally good, and he loved the gravy. Despite this, he managed to have the trio of mini desserts afterwards, and Harry thoughtfully brought another spoon "just in case" I should be able to find room to try it :-) Our favourite of the chocolate brownie and ice cream, lemon tart, and rhubarb and strawberry crumble with custard was definitely the latter. We'll probably have that on it's own the next time! The starters look very tempting but we declined, anticipating great things with the main meal and we are so glad we did otherwise we wouldn't have got through the rest! A great experience, delicious food, and lovely view by the river, a perfect birthday treat. Thank you, Harry and the team at The Albany, we'll see you again soon (most likely to try one of the Sunday roasts which look awesome!) :-)

Excellent pub/resturant if a little tricky to find (Google maps didn't quite get it right, hopefully better as I altered the pin). Lovely riverside location, great food and good staff. We eat in the restaurant and moved to the terrace for dessert. Portions were just right for us. They had a singer followed by a band down on the riverside so some nice live music to enjoy.

Well that was most enjoyable! A feast of food. Scallops to start and roast chicken as a main with delicious veg. Given part of the leftovers in a beautiful box. But the best of all was the offering of a mini dessert and hot drink. I've been banging on about this for years! And they delivered in spades. A white chocolate cheesecake and cup of tea for £6! Honestly, a wonderful experience all round. Service was excellent too and lovely Mara took our picture as it was a reunion. There were quite a few kids, but on the whole well behaved. Just a bit tricky getting up the stairs with my sticks. In the summer, the view will be stunning of the river.

Great atmosphere and fantastic staff. Very accommodating. Food was very nice. Dog friendly. Would be great to have water dispenser (as you do in the summer) and more low alcohol selection- there were no low alcohol wines available, only gin and beers

Wow! Great food, a good variety of differing drinks, good service and a great view across and along The Thames from the Riverside patio. The quality of the food was exceptional, beef brisket and double Gloucester pie has to be tried to be believed! Gorgeous and unusual puds too. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Albany Thames Ditton is a popular pub and restaurant with masses of seating including a double-level outdoor terrace beside the River Thames. Had the calamari to start followed by haddock fish cakes (choice of fries or salad) accompanied with a soft drink. The calamari was perfectly cooked with a crunch and a good sized starter portion. The two fishcakes were tasty and filling. Order and pay inside for table service. Paid under £45 for three starters, one main and two soft drinks. Great service, a strong food menu, beautifully presented food and generous views of the Thames makes this pub well worth a visit.

My guest and I really enjoyed our lunch. Service was friendly and unhurried and the menu really impressive. I had the sea bass for my main course and it was perfectly cooked and presented. Although I live in Crawley, West Sussex, I will definitely revisit when I am next in the area.
