Wonderful place. I’ve never had a bad meal here in 3 years. The manager Vicky and her staff are wonderful and polite. Would recommend to everyone!

Really lovely place, very welcoming and child friendly. They have a great kids play area in the beer garden. The inside of the pub is also really nice, decorated very rustic with wood panels and steel pipes for legs on the tables. The staff were so welcoming and you get a free kids meal for every adult that buys a main meal. So because I had 3 adults with me, my 3 kids ate for free. Food was good, my steak was very very fatty, but my partner had the gammon and wow, it was good (he let me have it as he was very full from the carvery). I think if i was to go again I would 100% get the carvery as it looked really really good and my partner was extremely happy with his meal, so was my 11 year old.

Great pub with a nice variety of beers, tasty food, and very friendly staff. As a bonus, Fridays bring live music from talented local artists, making the night truly enjoyable and fun.

Just been for a full English breakfast at the cook house and it was amazing. All you can eat. I had four fried eggs, two bacon, two sausages and all of the trimmings. You can can grab as many cups of tea ☕ as you like it's great.

First time trying this place and it has made a good first impression. Ordered the carvery which is £9.95 weekdays but £7 on Mondays which is a great deal. The carvery had beef, gammon and turkey and all were cooked well and seasoned well. Then all the vegetables where cooked perfect and seasoned perfect and with chicken or beef gravy to choose from. It really went down a treat and will be back to try other menu items. Minor gripes, one tiny tiny pig in blanket with the carvery it was about the size of half your little finger it was so cute. And the single stuffing ball was gone in one bite. But I suppose they want you to upgrade to the more meat and yorkies and pigs in blanket for a couple of quid more. Fair enough profits are thin these days. But it really was a lovely meal. All the staff seemed happy in general it was sound. Quite large pub with loads of space and a beer garden. Will becoming back to try the all you can eat breakfast buffet. .

Food was Luke warm on the breakfast . The only saving grace was the barman was amazing . So funny and enthusiastic . I’d give him 5 stars but the food was cold and the bacon was hard . Need to improve Cook House . Now I know why you were so quiet for breakfast !

Popped in on a Thursday afternoon for lunch after reading the reviews. I must admit I was shocked how good the food was, I ordered the steak and ale pie chips etc. my partner she ordered the salmon and I can honestly say these were one of the best pub meals we’ve had.. Staff were helpful and friendly, the pub was spotless, food was not only excellent but pretty quick too. I 100% recommend the cookhouse, we will be returning again as their are other meals we want to try. Great job
