I recently dined at a Thai restaurant in the city center and had a solid, straightforward experience. The menu covers the usual suspects—pad Thai, green curry, tom yum soup, and a few stir-fries—without any surprises. I went with the pad Thai and a green curry; both arrived hot and in generous portions. The noodles were properly cooked, not too sticky, and the curry had a decent balance of coconut milk and spice, though it leaned milder than I expected. Nothing stood out as exceptional, but nothing disappointed either. Service was efficient: the waiter took the order quickly, refilled water without prompting, and the food came out in about 15 minutes. The place was busy but not overcrowded, and the noise level stayed manageable. Prices are in line with similar spots—around $12–18 for mains—which feels fair for the amount you get. Overall, it’s a reliable choice if you’re craving Thai food and want something predictable. I’d go back if I were in the area, but I wouldn’t make a special trip.

Very poor experience tonight. Food acceptable but our Tia Maria liquor coffee was very poor and also very expensive at almost £9 each and only half a coffee. Our request for a top up to fill the glass was ignored by staff and the manager hid behind the bar instead of attending our table and resolving the matter whilst staff talked to other customers and ignored our complaint. Never again as there are a number of decent restaurants on Allerton Road to choose instead.

Came in at the weekend to order a takeout. Very busy , great atmosphere. I wanted a beer while I waited and Lee kindly found me a table to sit at even though it was extremely busy. Thai fish cakes for starters which are one of my favourites. Great size portion and deliciously spiced and just the right consistency. They came with a tangy chilli dipping sauce. Thai green curry for main , exceptional with just the right amount of heat and texture. This restaurant is consistently superb . Everything I have ever eaten here has been superb and I am not surprised it has stood the test of time . Lee and Richard and all the staff are so pleasant and helpful .

I have great love for this restaurant. I was in Liverpool for work for a week and I went to Chaba Chaba three times for dinner during that period! The staff and owner are the friendliest and very attentive to customers. Every single dish I’ve tried are absolutely delicious and authentic. If I have to pick favourites, they would be prawn toast, Panama curry and spicy fried rice. I’m so sad that this restaurant is 170 miles away from where I live but will defo return when I’m next in Liverpool.

Most authentic Thai food in Liverpool. Spicy level as requested. Recommended spicy salad and curry (red and green), they are a must to order! Great atmosphere and fantastic service. Except the portion which is relatively too small. But overall, highly recommended if you crave for authentic Thai food, it’s pretty similar to what you can have in Thailand.
