Excellent food. The great taste was consistent across all the dishes we ordered. The service is very quick. We got our food very quickly. May be a bit too quickly!!

I ordered food for a patient admitted in the hospital, hoping for a quick and comforting meal. Unfortunately, the noodles arrived burnt and completely inedible. Spending £12 on this was a total waste of money. Very disappointed with the quality and care in preparation—definitely not what I expected.

Royal China (Harrow-on-the-Hill) is an excellent Chinese restaurant offering a truly authentic dining experience with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu caters beautifully to both vegetarians and meat lovers, with an extensive and creative vegetarian selection alongside richly flavored, traditional meat dishes. The ambiance is elegant yet comfortable, making it ideal for both casual meals and special occasions. Service is attentive and professional, enhancing the overall experience. A lovely restaurant that consistently delivers on taste, authenticity, and hospitality.

It was our first time trying dim sum here and it was delicious! Some of the best I’ve had in London. The service was fast and attentive and we’ll definitely be going back. Would recommended.

We've ordered from this place several times. It's probably one of the few Chinese places with such a high rating. The food always arrives fresh, smell amazing and it's so warm. They have a lot of good things, but the Singapure Ribs and Singapure Noodles are so good that we order them every time. As for other things, I like trying new things, like egg fried rice, noodles with beef, beef in black pepper sauce, sweet and sour chicken and many other. All amazing.

Unbelievable how the standards have dropped at Royal China. Once a bustling restaurant was was all but empty yesterday and I can only think it's the quality of the food. This restaurant uses the cheapest ingredients, and bulks up food with cheap ingredients. We ordered stir fried foods and it mostly contained chunky onions. Aubergine peels were mixed with few pieces of aubergine, cucumber for the duck came as peels because the cucumber flesh was used to make some other dish. It seems the chef was given a challenge to make as many dishes from 1 vegetable as possible. The lettuce for lettuce wrap was limp and old. Even cheap Chinese buffet restaurants serve better quality of food than Royal China. The only nice thing about the restaurant was the staff.

I am a regular here for lunch, that dim sum menu is something special. We got the prawn and chive dumplings, prawn dumplings, prawn cheung fun, sesame prawn toast (my favourite), soft shell crab, salt and pepper fried green beans and squid in black bean sauce. The squid wasn’t great as it was too chewy but everyone else was on point and delicious. Make sure to ask for a bowl to mix some soy sauce and chilli oil in! Our total bill was £60 which is reasonable. Came back for dinner, unfortunately they don’t do many dumplings for dinner and one of the servers isn’t the nicest. We got the szichaun prawns which were good but the portion of prawns was quite low. I have amended my rating to 4 stars.

The food is ok here, with a good range of dishes on the menu. It didn’t blow my socks off. But as a first time at this restaurant I’d personally like to see them refresh the paper menus so they’re not as beaten up. As for the overall experience, it feels very typical experience for a Chinese restaurant

Excellent char siu buns, delicious sichuan style lamb and the egg fried rice is fantastic. Fast and attentive service, came to about £29 for lunch for just me. Came here for lunch on a weekday after walking past the restaurant every day for 15 years I’m glad I popped in.
