Took son there for the first time. I had the schwarma; excellent as always and he had the chicken poppers. He loved them (plus the chips, obvs) While we were there one of the staff brought out a burger to another table. "I am so having that next time!" He informed me. Guess we'll be back soon

Came a few weeks ago. Portion size and quality of food was really good. Just came for a takeaway today. Unfortunately food was dry and small portions. Hopefully this improves next time.

Unremarkable and inconspicuous interior brings little to whet the appetite. A selection firmly embedded in the comfortingly obvious, riffing on the same old tune, without venturing beyond the familiar. This is no criticism - saying that, they tweak the tried and tested with pleasing results : robust and flavoursome portions. Service was beyond reproach It’s relatively hard to find fault here but I’m trying: perhaps the dull decor.

Ordered a takeaway from here. Our personal experience of the lamb kebab and shawarma was very poor. Meat was very dry with an uninspiring salad and rather doughy bread that ended up not eating. Other reviews seem more positive, but there are better food options on the high street in my opinion.

We came here for dinner with friends and wow it was amazing! They have recently done a refurb and the place looks great. We had some platters to share, finished with chocolate orange tart, and a pear tart - both 10000/10! Would highly recommend. They also have a tv showing the euros (if you wanted to bring someone along who didn’t want to miss a game!) The team were lovely with excellent hospitality

Good falafel. Good service. But not much competition here. Little bit expensive for takeaway. Chips could be better. I prefer more humumous and tahina as not to be too dry. Often people put all the salad and humus at the bottom instead of mixing it through. Still returning frequently but could improve.

The food was delicious, we ordered a selection of burgers, Kofta and steak with a variety of starters. The Moroccan cigars were spot on, perfect flavour and texture. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had a lovely family dinner out.

Went the other evening to Balagan and had heard positive things and articles online but it left alot to be improved on. Menu is basic but nice and has standard Israeli menu items. I ordered a burger and the rest of the table ordered Laffas with schnitzel or pargiot. The waiter was nice and everything was ordered on an ipad. The food slowly came out 1 by 1 and lastly the burger, quite a mix up with the Laffas who's was who's so definitely something they need to sort. My burger tasted great but was definitely on the small side. We got chips and onion rings on the side but unfortunately they were beyond greesy and the onion rings were far too big and not nice overall. Overall, its showing promise and is a new restaurant with lots of potential, hopefully will revisit in a few months for a re-review

A pleasant surprise and break from the mediocrity of the local restaurants. Expensive (although visited during eat out to help out scheme) but with great food, you should definitely check Balagan out. I ordered a schnitzel meal, which came accompanied by chips and salad. The schnitzel was crispy and tasty albeit a little on the small side, but the chips were incredible. Super soft and wonderfully unprocessed, these were by far the best chips I’ve had in a while. Salad was good as well, and the Oreo milkshake was decent for a Parve option. Shawarma was also great as well as falafel, and the pita that came with the meal was really great and authentic, you could definitely tell it had been grilled a little. Staff were quick to check up on us and ensure the meal was fine, and it was nice sitting outside. Great experience overall.
