I canβt think of a better way to start this review than by praising the wonderful experience we had at Grill off the Green. I booked a reservation here for my parents, who had flown in from the U.S. to celebrate Thanksgiving with me, and the restaurant made this special occasion unforgettable. My mother went for the fillet, while my dad and I shared the indulgent tomahawk steak. Our waiter Antonio, who we later learned is also the owner, took the time to chat with us and made the meal even more memorable. There was a particularly fun moment when he suggested an Italian wine to pair with the tomahawk steak and My dad, a true wine enthusiast, was initially skeptical. He was soon laughing at how wrong his assumptions had been, he absolutely loved it! The evening was a bit rushed, as we had tickets for the Kew Gardens lights, but the staff couldnβt have been more accommodating. They ensured we had everything we needed, so we could enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. This place is a gem, and weβll definitely be returning! If you have the opportunity, donβt miss it. Grill off the Green is not just a meal, itβs an experience.

Excellent service as always. Antiono is always so welcoming. Food is amazing as always. Absolutely loved the Dorset Ribeye steak and the ceviche is 10/10!

Friendly staff. Generous portions however the vegetarian risotto main was rich, heavy and not a summery dish. Although tasty it needed more of the shoestring fries and another element to balance it. Tatin was nice but didn't go well with the dish

Great local restaurant, it was a nice surprising discovery! We went on a late Sunday evening so it was nice and quiet; service was great and food was sent quickly. All dishes were delicious, generous in portion and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend and would definitely go back !

This place deserves much higher review points. Everything is perfect. Literally perfect It has been around many years. Feels so cosy with carpet and cushion decoration. Lighting and music really on point and good. Really helpful staff. Enough time between the meals. Had beef tartare and tempura squid and prawn as a starter. Burger and beef stroganoff for main. Cost around Β£60 per person inc service charge which is really reasonable for the quality they are providing. Thanks

If you want a fantastic steak in a calming environment with properly made potent cocktails then with 5 star service, then there really is no other alternative. This restaurant knows how to cook meat with my medium rare T-Bone exactly medium rare and my wife's sirloin was as requested....well done even though I'm sure it's against the chefs creed to do so but the quality of the meat meant it was still tasty. Antonio, Tony and Eddie were as ever consumate hosts making us feel welcome and special. I can't recommend this little slice of grilled meat heaven highly enough and can only say...try it.

We spent the afternoon at Kew but sadly they decided it was a great idea to close their food places at 1400. So off we trotted in search of food! Google, who knows me well, recommended this place. As usual, she was right. It was a good first sign that we all took our time to find what we wanted on the menu, as so much caught our eyes. We ended up with a couple burgers, a steak and some fish and chips. It was all thoroughly delicious. Service was flawless too. Sadly we aren't local, but when we visit Kew again we will be back. Many thanks indeed.

Cozy restaurant with great food and service. Went at lunch time without reservation (although it might be better to book in advance) and got a table for 2 right way. Staff was friendly and efficient - took the drinks order first , given us time to check the menu. I ordered grilled lamb chops and my wife got Hake fillet and both were great! Good selection of wines as well! We had a glass of Malbec. Definitely worth it.

4 of us had the BEST evening at Grill off the Green last night (May 20th 2022). The Portugese waiter was very entertaining, knowledgeable & also indulged us delaying ordering, as we were having such a great time laughing our heads off. The food was divine. Amazing starters; highly recommend the mushrooms; the haggis & black pudding was reportedly fantastic. Our mains were 2 x baby back ribs (enormous portions), steak and sea bass. All excellent. Too full for desserts. Will definitely return. Lovely wines and cocktails. Well priced for London.

Food and drinks were absolutely amazing. Duck confit with a British twist was superb. Lovely vintage dessert wines were a fantastic highlight of our lunch. We walked in without a reservation, and the host managed to find a table for us. Later on the host asked us to move to a different table, which wasnβt a big deal at all. Yet, the host kept on apologizing and even gave as two glasses of wine free of charge at the end of our lunch! So nice of him! Fantastic place, highly recommended!
