   I ordered a chicken chow mein for collection, it tasted so bland. It had nothing but dry noodles, chicken, few bits of bean sprouts and tiny splash of soy/oyster sauce mix. I was expecting a mix of veg in the chow mein and some flavour? Other reviewers with photos show a better chow mein with a mix of veg... maybe not my lucky day

   Myself and my family have been enjoying delicious Chinese food from Silver River for over 25 years now. The consistency of quality and flavour has been fantastic over that time, we each have our favourite dishes and every single time they never fail to disappoint. It may only be a Chinese takeaway, but in an increasingly crazy world we love the fact that we can always rely on Silver River for a tasty and very reasonably priced meal.

   Ordered the chili garlic chicken, i asked if it was fried, lady said it was stir fried, came home and saw this, this is NOT stir fried. Called the shop and the lady argued with me and was rude. Ordered the crispy chili beef and egg fried rice too. Nothing was nice imo, even the service. Needless to say, im not going back there anymore.

   Really great Chinese takeaway. Much better than some of the other Chinese takeaways in the area that I've tried, and at a competitive price. I'll definitely be back as long as quality stays consistent.

   Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the food. The portion of soup is much smaller and tasteless. Sweet & sour chicken was fresh and crunchy. Fry rice was standard but do not buy no chop suey dishes it was awful. The service was very good.
