   Been coming here for a few years and its the best fish n chips I've had, and certainly the best value. Mayfair Chippy came close, Poppies was not as tasty. Highly recommended.

   I have been coming here for many years and they never disappoint, today the fish was so delicious. The only thing I would say I love the small crispy bits of chips at the bottom I guess it depends on how fresh the chips are.

   Late takeaway lunch. Cannot believe how awful it was the fish was overcooked. One portion was tiny. Chips dry and extremely overcooked. This fish and chip shop used to be fantastic, but this was the worst meal by far we’ve ever had from The Golden Plaice, most of it ended up in the bin.

   How can you feed an adult couple with large appetites for less than 15 Pounds for the two? Get a large Haddock and small chips from this great chippy, take it home, eat it in front of the Telly and bobs your uncle, the best tasting, best value dinner for two in the SE of England

   Amazing staff.. .they try to accommodate you even when they're super busy. Like on a Friday they work hard and serve as fast as they can. Their chips are the only foods I've tried here as they're yummy and served piping hot. They have other vegetarian options like veg burger . Service with a smile !!

   Greasy cod, dry chips. Not fresh at all, batter was soft and not cruncy. Sorry but the quality is not up to my standard for the price. Order was quick at least. Based on my experience won't be coming back at all.
