   Many years since we have been to Elys and it was a big relief, as many department stores have closed, to see that the store is flourishing. The restaurant is excellent, very nice decaf oat latte and a good selection of food.

   This establishment offers a pleasant dining experience, complemented by delightful cakes and hot chocolate. Upon my visit today, I encountered a brief queue, which unfortunately prevented me from enjoying my customary cake. Nevertheless, I intend to return soon.

   First visit here today for a late lunch and it was pretty busy with the holiday shoppers. It's a good sized restaurant on the third floor with comfortable seating. Service is quick and a shout out to the lady barista who operates the coffee machine like a pro with a smile on her face and asking customers for their hot drinks order. We got the Swiss roll, mocha, tuna toastie and eggs Florentine. Good coffee, good cake but a bit too heavy on the strawberry jam making it too sweet for my liking, good eggs Florentine presented well. However, the tuna toastie could have been better. It needed a bit more toasting and seasoning and a bit of lemon juice. All items were reasonably priced and it's a good pit stop for people visiting the store for shopping.

   Only had a coffee and cake here but the staff were friendly, flat white and black forest gateau were good quality. Was busy enough but still tables free and nice comfy seats.

   This cafe reminds me of an old fashioned cafe in Italy where you have coffee and a pasticcino. It is normally quiet but was busy when I went there last due to Xmas shopping. Also the bathrooms located at the back are extremely clean.

   A comfortable place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, a sandwich or slice of cake. They don't seem to serve much else, not that I've noticed.

   This has to be the worst meal I have had in years. We didn’t mind waiting for the food as it was literally cooked fresh ? But both our burgers where obviously cooked fresh yesterday!!!! They both turned up black and burnt and hard like chipboard. And as for the roll it as greasy and the was salad also from yesterdays menu. Merton Council Environmental Health informed.

   Tables spaced wide apart, very nice cakes and coffees. Overall a pleasant rest from shopping.
