Great food, prices and atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. Can get busy so may have to wait a little but well worth it.
Portion sizes so big and prices so small that its giving Alice in Wonderland vibes. Nothing matches up. Its fantastic. The food is so plentiful and so, so good that it's almost an affront to any diety of your choosing. Literally and figuratively heavy, heavy scrans. Almost impossible to finish a dish its that big. Feel like you've robbed them when you pay. Better Cantonese food than some of the restaurants ive been to in the Canton region. Its anglicised, but remains enough authenticity that you'll often see Chinese people here too. Nice and easy to get a seat. Never empty either. The Big Bowl anything is fantastic. The crispy chicken cutlets, mind blowing. It ain't a fancy place, but everything works. Its a Liverpool institution. Real, good, honest food, and a lot of it.
Great food and great portions enough to fill and take home some for later. very friendly staff and fast service. reccomend calling up for a table around the weekend can get busy
This place blows my mind... Took friends for the first time, they were very impressed, The quality of the food is top notch. Huge variety and great portion size. Service is great and staff are lovely. Worth the walk up Bold Street for sure!
So first time for me to visit this place and what a little gold mine, the food was absolutely great, big portions, everything cooked fresh and so much value for money. I couldn't eat all my main course sovi asked for a box to take it away. Out meal cost us £14.50 each and we got a starter, appetizer and a really big main. We got the banquet for two which is B. I took photos of the menu so you can see for yourself what they offer and the prices won't be beaten for sure. The service I gave it 3 stars because when we arrived we ordered after 5 mins and it took the NEW WAITER 20 mins to come and tell me he lost my order I was fuming as well as starving, but once he got it again the food come so quickly and the service, to be honest, was great really.
First visit with family, waiting five minutes for table to be set up. Service was quick and easy, staff were polite and friendly. Ordered three dishes and two starters. *Curried fish balls *Siu Mai *Won Ton soup *Char Sui rice *Five spice duck, chicken, char sui noodles *lemon and honey teas Came to £41 All very tasty, we loved the starters, good sized portions too. Will definitely visit again.
Order a set meal for two, Chicken soup was tasty, starters were delicious but i did not enjoy my salt and pepper chicken. Husband enjoyed his chicken Kong po with fried rice. Two cans of soda. Would not visit again as there are plenty of other places to eat in and around the area.
Would NOT recommend…. The lemon iced tea was so sweet it was undrinkable. We ordered hot & sour noodle soup, but it was very salty and sweet at the same time, the udon noodles were not tasty and the vegetables tasted like water. Surprised there are so many good reviews here!
Very good, authentic Chinese food available here at Big Bowl Noodle Bar. The dishes are quickly prepared and always delicious. Each time I have eaten here, the staff have been friendly and both the restaurant and its facilities are clean. The atmosphere can feel a little sterile due to the bright lights, but having only eaten here for lunch, this is not an issue at all. The inclusion of other peoples' dining experiences as a part of the decor is a very cute addition. The only issue ever faced here was on one instance where the kitchen seemed to forget about our order, but we received a free round of drinks and huge apologies once we pointed this out. They seemed embarrassed but it was a sincere mistake. The cost of the food is very reasonable, considering what you receive. I will eat here again.
