   Decided to look for a decent fish n chip shop in the area since our local one had started to lose quality after changing hands. 20 mins drive later we get to WGF. First impressions, clean, bright, and vibrant shop. The owner (Erkin) greeted us instantly with a smile and a friendly welcome. The food was fresh and very tasty, I couldn't fault it. Great service and tasty fish and chips, definitely worth the drive

   I been to this place after reading positive google reviews. Very happy host/owner makes you feel welcome. Prices were reasonable, however fish was a bit undercooked. The batter was very thick that could be the reason the fish was undercooked. But I will still use them again n hope the quality is better next time.

   Updated from below: Following initial disappointment as noted, a revised order could not have been more different. The fish was fresh and plentiful, and a great portion of chips came with each. The owner clearly cares about customer service and providing great food. Clearly a one off blip the first time! Old review: Really looking forward to my first delivery from here and unfortunately such a disappointment. Cod was nice but the majority consisted of only thick batter. The haddock was one of the worst pieces of fish from a fish and chip shop I have had. Thin, overcooked and dry, and barely any fish there (ordered a large and it was anything but) surrounded by stodgy batter which was inedible. A tiny portion of chips each (even for a standard portion, I would expect more than a small handful) and the mushy peas was literally a cup of cold pea soup. I hate leaving a poor review for a local business but when you are paying almost £14 for a portion of fish and chips, which is one of the more expensive in the area, it's a shame to be left so disappointed. I would forgive the tiny portions of haddock and chips if the quality was good, but sadly wasn't the case. I hope this was a Tuesday blip for the restaurant that has had so many positive reviews.

   100% the Best chip shop ever. Chicken wings and breast chicken delicious. The chips are fat and tasty . We could eat this every day. The staff are so welcoming. Highly recommended.
