   Some people lack such basic humanity and are arrogantly unaware of the impact of your front office personality on your establishment. Market Place Restaurant is such a place. At 10am my daughter desperate to change her baby’s diaper rested him on one of the garden tables of the yet to open restaurant. The vitriol emanating from the manager was Dickensian to be polite! He may have had a point regarding hygiene but for the visiting pigeons on his terrace. With such a callous attitude a wide berth is recommended.

   Came in here for a happy hour deal on the way home from a show, it was advertised as 2 for one cocktails, as pictured. There was absolutely no sign or indication from staff at any point what the 2 for 1 deal pertained to, I ordered 4 Aperol Spritz for myself and a friend well within the deal time expecting it to add up to just under £25, I was given a bill for £52.28. When I expressed my surprise, expecting an honest mistake that the deal hadn't been applied, I was told there are 2 selected cocktails only which are not advertised anywhere at all, or even hinted to when ordering. The staff were incredibly rude and aggressive and treated me in a patronising and unacceptable manner. This is clearly a scam and the level of service is despicable. *** EDIT: *** I am happy to say that this has been resolved as promised below. Stuart was very reasonable and I am grateful for his professionalism. There isn't much more anyone can do so thank you for that. *** ***

   Ordered a strawberry & raspberry 'smoothie' and it was anything but smooth! It was undrinkable due to the mouthfuls of fruit seeds. I am aware that they both have seeds but there are ways of straining them out, they clearly couldn't be bothered to do this. The waiter called on the Manager to come and speak to me (I didn't ask for this) and he told me very patronisingly that fruit has seeds and that's how it is. They still charged for the drink (over £5) - not great customer service. Will never return!
