    What a treat!! Lovely little pub with two large beer gardens filled with character! All of the staff are really friendly and helpful, loved making a fuss of the dogs Food was absolutely delicious!!! Chicken burger was so crispy and fresh the fish and chips my wife said was one of the best she’s had! Found out the owner was in the kitchen and surprised us even more, man of many talents clearly. They had a board out with all of the up and coming events If you haven’t been the Marine you should certainly give it a try next time you’re passing!

    Quiet tuesday lunchtime. Food (steak & mushroom sandwuch) was really nice. Great value too, with a drink for £10. We were served by Emily who was rrally attentive and helpful.

    Group of 7 adults, 4 kids and two babies plus a dog. Service couldn’t have been better. Very attentive to all our needs. Nice safe play area and food was good. Very family friendly. Recommend.

    Lovely place very clean, staff are super friendly however the food was disappointing my daughter's burger was dripping with grease and my hunters chicken was very dry overcooked and the bacon was burned black and dripping with grease, the menu was on a piece of paper and has been for some time. This is a real shame because I love this place and like I said staff went above and beyond to help and please, the venue was spotless ... just a shame about the food as it used to be one of the best on the street so if that is improved the place will be perfect and well worth 5 stars

    Roast dinner with 2 meats, the Pork was lovely, the Beef was tough. All veg was poor, all pre frozen and chewy. Nice place but more care needed foodwise.

    Excellent bar with fantastic beer gardens, the perfect place to relax and spend time with friends and family! Our kids loved the rear garden which has now got a slide, table tennis and football table. Cask ales are back and the food was delicious *****
