I went here and got the french toast which was decent and mango, pinapple, and passionfruit smoothie which was really good. However when it came time to pay the bill it took me and my friend almost 30 minutes for someone to come over to us and even then they only brought a recipt and no way for us to pay despite being able to do that for the table next to us that were waiting for way less time. They even added on a 12.5% service charge, ridiculous.

Attended 2pm, missed the breakfast in Brixton as that what I initially went there for. Customer service was non existent, waited for someone to approach but they didnβt. When I asked the girl behind the bar her response was so condescending. The food was bad, it has really gone down food wise. I got Singapore noodles with chicken, prawns and beef. The noodles was dry and too much curry. Noodles was in clumps, did not taste fresh. The satay chicken also did not taste fresh and tempura prawns was ok. One of the staff head a very bad attitude. She was working behind the bar. Every interaction with her was not professional as she maintained a bad attitude, nothing polite about her. Even the waitress that served us attitude was like we canβt ask any questions about the menu as if we were annoying her asking questions. Donβt think Iβll be going back there for food. It used to be really tasty and service was on par

The food was good, but the experience was ruined by poor service and hidden costs. I genuinely wish I could give a better review, as the food itself was okay, but the overall experience at Breakfast in Brixton X SATAY was one of the most disappointing I've had in London. From the moment we walked in, the service was unwelcoming. We were greeted with no smile and seated at the back of an almost entirely empty restaurant. When we asked to move to a more preferable, empty table (for four people), we were initially met with a blunt refusal. When ordering, I asked to swap bacon for avocado. The staff agreed but failed to mention this would be an extra Β£3 charge, on top of removing the bacon. This felt like a dishonest trick. Service was inattentiveβwe had to wave staff down repeatedly. Despite this, an automatic service charge was added to the bill. It claimed to be a pan asian restaurant when its the furthest, they literally serve English basic breakfast (beans, eggs Nd bacon + french toast) Paying Β£24 each for a basic breakfast with this level of service and transparency is unacceptable. I would not recommend. When we raised our concerns, the apologies felt hollow because the policies themselves are designed to extract money from customers through vagueness and surprise fees.

Brilliant service, a lovely chilled atmosphere, and drinks were on point, so I would definitely advise happy hour. The food came too fast, and It just all tasted the same.

Had a late lunch here. It was quiet with a few customers on my arrival. Whilst looking at the menu a lot more diners arrived. The food arrived very soon after, we had placed our orders. It was all very tasty, I could have done with a bit more spice on mine, though. We ordered several cocktails which just as lovely as the food. The waitresses and bartender were all welcoming, pleasant and attentive. The only downside here, was the female restroom which was not very pleasant to use. It is in need of maintenance and should be appropriately sanitised all the time.

I can see why this place is always packed! The food and drinks here is top tier!! I had duck and rice with veggies and it was so delicious, the flavours, how tender the duck was, the rice! Everything made sense! To top it off, I had a smoothie and it was so good!!! This place is added to one of my favourite places to eat!!! Thank you to the lovely staffs and chefs!!!

I hadn't been here in years. It was sill the same. Nice staff, good drinks and really good music. They have happy hour everyday from 5 until 8 so we got quite a few cocktails. The atmosphere was also really nice. The food looked good. So I will definitely be getting some of that next time.

Lovely venue which is quite big inside, security on the door are friendly. Good menu with lots of choices, was really happy with what I ordered it was very filling and full of flavour, the Korean fried chicken wings were my favourite, black pepper prawns could do with a little bit more flavour. Service is really good and staff are friendly. Definitely try the virgin mango daiquiri.

Food - 4/5 Service - 4/5 Cost - 5/5 Ambience - 5/5 The food was nice; the vegetables were a bit too salty and generally lacking in other flavour but the food is nice. Food is not fancy and is without frills but it is comforting and tasty. Comforting food and environment; friendly and generally attentive staff. From the doorman to the barman, everyone made us feel welcomed and happy to be there. The pricing is reasonable and the happy hour cocktails are an amazing bargain. Mocktails are the same price; they are equally great. Seems a little quiet on Sundays so the environment is calm, there are charging ports by the entrance; and they play great music. Satay Bar is well worth the visit and Iβll definitely visit again!
