NEVER AGAIN! Ordered via deliveroo. Got boneless curried goat roti that came with coleslaw and a hellshire shrimp Mac and cheese. Firstly the Mac & cheese has no shrimp or shrimp flavour. And from the pics you get a mouthful of coleslaw. But the biggest disappointment by far was the roti. Literally 5 small pieces of meat, takeaway container a quarter full, a few pieces of potato and the gravy was really salty for £14.95. Tried to resolve with the restaurant, who then told me to speak to deliveroo. After going back and forth with both several time I eventually got £6.50 back from a total of almost £24, this was for the mac and cheese and was told by deliveroo that my feedback would help the restaurant improve. So here it is, avoid and save your money unless you want small portions of salty food.

We visited a unique-looking underground establishment after receiving a recommendation. The pallet seating, while creative, was unfortunately not very comfortable. The music was good. Despite the restaurant being empty around 3 p.m. on a Friday, there was a noticeable wait to be seated, followed by another delay before someone came to take our order. From the time we entered to when our starters arrived, it took a full hour. We ordered two portions of prawns; one was mistakenly served cold . The jerk chicken was acceptable but nothing particularly noteworthy. The oxtail was disappointing. While it was close to being tender, the dish was overwhelmed by an excessively sweet, barbecue-style sauce, making it nearly inedible. For sides, we tried the plain rice, roti, and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese, in particular, was extremely underwhelming—simply boiled pasta topped with what appeared to be pre-shredded cheese. This place is apparently popular for its 2-for-1 cocktails, and the group of tipsy ladies next to us certainly seemed to be enjoying them.

Visited the Dutchie for lunch at Croydon with some friends. The food came in good portions and was very tasty. The various types of chicken wings were all delicious. I ordered the lobster as a main dish, which I felt was a bit over cooked and too chewy, and the shell was hard to crack as it was not brittle. They were accommodating about changing fries to rice as an accompaniment. Cocktails were 2 for 1 at the time we went, so that was a good deal. The food was reasonably priced, and the staff were polite. They were happy to provide a container for left overs for take away. I loved the decor with the tricolours of red, gold, and green, and the graffiti. The music was great comprising of reggae and 90s r'n'b. It would be easier to find the restaurant if there is a sign at the entrance of the Arcade pointing to The Dutchie as it can easily be missed. Overall, it was a good experience.

Visited for some after work drinks. I had not been to dutchies in years maybe 2 or 3. And I was really looking forward to the Dutchie burger however my burger was pink so I sent it back. The Plantain was also tough. I ordered boneless jerk chicken and chips as a replacement and it was quite tasteless.. it just tasted like smoke although the chicken was very tender. Not really impressed. The drinks were okay though although I feel they have reduced in size … but 2 for 1 you can’t go wrong.

I’m only giving a one star because my first experience it was awful. For a Friday evening, 3 different cocktails were requested but wasn’t available due to lacking of ingredients. Ended up getting something I didn’t want! There was no “SALAD” and both my partner and I didn’t think the food was nice nor tasty. The service was very slow, staff went by swearing, hissing teeth and clearly had enough. The food was “OK” presentation wise and for the price we paid, it should have been a 5/5. Would we go back “NO”

Went for a friends birthday meal, seated very quickly, drinks arrived quickly same with starters however mains took a long time to come 2/3 came then still had to wait for the 3rd meal. My MAIN: Oxtail tasted very sweet, very fatty and a lot of bones & Gravy. Staff wasn’t moved by me showing them, this put me off the meal.

I have been here many time the food here really nice not to mention their 241 cocktail that they do everyday. The staff are really friendly. I do prefer this one compared to the one in Camberwell. Definitely come here
