Lovely location Bar staff smiley Good selection of drinks , not the cheapest but given the location it’s acceptable. Not sure why the young girl couldn’t put the heater on for her customers though!! The other girl did for another table. Note to young girl who couldn’t be bothered helping, the customer makes a place stay open Your young wouldn’t of taken you a moment to put the heater on!!!

Incredible food, great service and a lovely view. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. I don’t live near by, but would happily travel to have some food here.

We had a middle priced room and it was all we could have wanted for the price Bed comfy, staff really friendly and the soup we had for our evening meal was excellent (as was the draught beer) There was a bit of noise from the bar but that all settled for a quiet night once the pub shut

We felt lucky to get a table as the place was buzzing. Great menu. A very smooth red wine. Tasty food. Really helpful and friendly staff although they were busy.

Had a night away for our anniversary. Hotel was nice ! Fab decor, spacious bar and restaurant and outdoor seating etc. The staff superb. All very professional and friendly. Our room was lovely and clean and the beds super comfortable but it was small. Glad there was a fan in the room as it was very hot. Not so good was all the bird poo on the windowsills. It really needs to be cleaned up. I had a Sunday roast. Don’t recommend it. The beef and Yorkshire pudding nice but the roast potatoes were hard n dry. The gravy was just water with a stock cube & the veg unappetising. Seems like they cooked the potatoes ages ago n just warmed them up. At £20.50 it was definitely not what I expected. Breakfast was ok but again the bacon was dry and hard to cut and the hash brown again dry and not fresh tasting. Location lovely and we did enjoy the night away.

We went out for dinner on a Saturday night. It was our first visit since they had the whole place refurbished and it has made a big difference. It feels smarter of course but also the layout is slightly different and feels more light and airy yet definitely not cold feeling. Since it's February we didn't sit out on the new upstairs terrace but we did go up to have a look and it's got such a view over the estuary and to Wales and so smart with rugs if needed. The meal portions are still a bit large for my taste but very nice.

Me and my partner stayed here and we had such a lovely time! The room was so cosy and nice - the drinks at the bar were so lovely! Nice atmosphere! All the staff were so friendly and helpful! Very well kept and well decorated place - in the morning we had breakfast and the vegetarian breakfast was so lovely! But yes overall an amazing nights stay here and me and my partner have already agreed we will be visiting again! :)

This is a very special place!! Tucked away in a lovely historic village is this stunning pub with gorgeous rooms!! My room was excellent, very well decorated, gorgeous bathroom and everything you could ask for. The food was really good too, great menu and really good service. We had to check out early but had prepaid., this was no trouble as Louise went out of her way to help us !! Do not hesitate……. just book it ❤️

A well appointed and staffed base to explore the area. The Ship has all the facilities you would expect and has a good set of staff who looked after us during our recent stay. The rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent giving visitors a top class experience which adds to the enchanting nature of the area. The views across the estuary is quite special and there are several walks and nearby locations to explore

Full marks for the new restoration. I chose a room with a marsh view and so happy that I did. The room and shower facilities were spotless and the bed was very comfortable Hotel staff could not do enough for me and the full English breakfast was top shelf. Highly recommend this hotel.
