Held my birthday dinner at Hanar for 25 people and it was absolutely incredible. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, food was incredible and the service was unbelievable. They put us upstairs in a separate area one long table. Every single person loved it, the were extremely considerate of all dietary requirements giving each person their own plate. The service was efficient and quick but no pressure on timings letting you enjoy the space at your leisure. Communication for booking was easy - over instagram or the phone. Of course a major benefit is the BYOB with corkage at Β£2.50pp, the total bill will be roughly Β£30pp which is incredible for the amount and variety of food you get. Come for dinner, your birthday or an event - you won't regret it.

We were served by a lovely young man who has excellent customer service and made our experience so We did wait a little while for our food but it was SOOO worth it. I’ll definitely be back here again

Hanar is an absolute gem in Peckham! From the moment you walk in, you’re warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. The service is outstanding – attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making sure you have the best experience possible. The food is exceptional – fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic Middle Eastern flavours. Every dish feels like it’s been made with real care and love, from the perfectly spiced mains to the delicious mezze. Portions are generous, and everything we tried was bursting with flavour. Hanar is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again. A true five-star experience – highly recommended!

We came to this place last week and have had to come again because it’s absolutely unreal. We got the meat platter for two and have no words! Unreal . Bring your own bottle is a nice touch. Service only is hindered because of how busy it is. otherwise very attentive and nice staff

One of the best meals I’ve had. The flavours are incredible! The man who served me (Roman?) was so gracious, he gave me extra tasters of things because I couldn’t choose what to have! I ended with the meat Meze dish. Kubba is my new favourite food! Other highlights if I absolutely have to choose were the slow roasted lamb and the walnut, red pepper and pomegranate molasses dip. I have to give full marks even for atmosphere despite being the first and only customer at the time because the decor, the music and service were all A*!

We haven't been to this location since it was Yadas (now on Rye Lane). Fewer menu items than Yadas (although just as delicious and with vegan options). Much better ambiance, and we were able to walk in on a Saturday night. They just got a liquor license so we got a bottle of natural red for Β£33 (you can still BYOB). We also ordered the meat mezze, shredded lamb, and pistachio hummus (our favourite!) Highly recommend. P. S. You have to access the menu online, which was slightly difficult as reception was patchy under the arches.

Really good food, love the interior!! Had the veggie platter and aubergine main then baklava. Just enough for 2 people was really lovely. Little bit cold would recommend jacket. Staff are great too. BYOB which is also great :)

The food was absolutely amazing, we had different vegetarian plates and each one was best then the last. A MUST if ever in Peckham! Service was awesome too :)

The experience was right in the middle - just ok! Pluses: The setting is really nice. The portions are generous, especially the small plates. Each dish comes with salad and pickles, unlike other restaurants who charge them separately. Minuses: The service was really slow. I will say it was Friday at 8pm so they were busy. I ordered the aubergine and tomato main and it just wasn’t to my taste - extremely caramelised aubergine so it was very sweet/strongly burnt tasting/the aubergine skins tasted bitter. It wasn’t bad, just not my preference.

Updated after 3 months: I cannot believe they charge Β£7.5 for bringing alcohol now. I don’t recall they charge it 3 months ago. I don’t remember if it is mentioned in the menu. I think I will go to Yadas instead. Food are still nice though. Staffs are lovely as usually.
