Popped in here by chance as visiting the area, and we were able to park. We were a bit early for food I think, but the bar tender offered to cook us a pizza, which we had. It was one of the best pizzas we have ever eaten, with really good flavoured pepperoni. Everyone was really friendly and a great atmosphere. You were also all so kind re: my husband’s mobility problem - so thank you for making it such a lovely visit and we plan to return.

We asked to host a group of us for lunch midweek. On the day we had 2 extra bringing us to 17. They accommodated us brilliantly and we had a fantastic time. 5 star service Thank you

Went for Sunday lunch, food was great, homemade Yorkshire pudding, fab roast potatoes, proper gravy and a huge portion, service was attentive and friendly. Cosy bar, with a real fire. Football was on, not my thing or my mum's, so we sat in the quieter restaurant area, but they still had a quiet screen so my dad could keep an eye on the game. Garden would be lovely, if it wasn't October! Has parking, allows dogs and there's a windmill nextdoor. What a pleasant surprise, will definitely return:)

I don’t eat out on Sundays because restaurants/pubs just can’t get a roast right. Until now! Wow the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had out & I don’t say that likely. Beautiful meat selection and delicious roast potatoes crispy & fluffy on the inside to die for. My wife is a vegetarian and they did her a vegetarian Sunday roast all veg. She really loved it. Puddings are old fashioned favourites. Portion size very generous. This is a must place to try at very reasonable prices. Only downfall you can’t book online but then you do get to talk to the amazing staff personally. Well done, will definitely be back for 2nds.

A great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors—sitting in the garden here is always a treat. It’s a very friendly and welcoming spot, made even better by the amazing bartender, Ian. He goes above and beyond to make everyone feel at home, even learning a few words from my native language, which truly meant a lot. I'm always greeted with the biggest smile, and it’s clear the place wouldn’t be the same without him. A genuinely great guy who adds so much to the atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We had a great time, we went on a walk through Addington Hills and we were due to end the walk at The Crown and saw this place before we got there so we went in for a pint. We we greeted by the owner in the front bar. He really knew about his beers and told us about the 'Special Beer' that's brewed just for them. We decided to stay for dinner and we're shown to the dining area where we met the owners wife running back of house. We were served incredible food at a great pace, the roast dinners and strawberry cheesecake were to die for! Service was also top notch thank you! We nipped in The Crown for a drink before heading home and we definitely made a wise decision! Thank you, what a great way to end a long walk!

Dined here just before England Lockdown 2.0... Charming little pub in Shirley with a seafood/tapas restaurant in the back. The restaurant interior is quite dark but the toilets were very clean and you can see into the Kitchen which is very reassuring. Service was very friendly and personable. The menu was a little limited as they were about to close for a month but the dishes we had were very tasty and the homemade desserts were traditional and comforting. I would definitely go back when they're in full swing.

I've been twice to this place. The second time even better than the first one. They really are seafood experts. Loved it. Today I had oysters and lobster. We were lucky enough to get even some sangria. Highly recommended. I suggest to call to book a table in advance, just in case :)
