“Went here last Thursday as heard they did a good quiz night. Had a burger and a couple of pints of Guinness zero; burger was top notch, proper gourmet stuff and we really enjoyed the quiz, we somehow won! Only downside was that it was a bit quiet, probably helped us win the quiz though. Staff were great, very friendly and welcoming.”

“Went here for a birthday dinner and wasn't expecting a good time due to the current circumstances, but we was pleasantly surprised. We were seen promptly, and was greeted by staff who were positive and making us laugh constantly. The food came quite speedily, and was cooked to great standards, especially the ribs and the burger. The service and delivery was spot on. Will definitely recommend. Special shout-out to Shannen who was an amazing waiter.”

“The overall dining experience was truly delightful, and the food comes in very generous portions. I ordered the Lamb Cutlets, which is my preferred dish at every restaurant I visit, and the serving here was easily the best size I have ever encountered. The dish consisted of four substantial pieces, and the portion was definitely satisfying. I left the restaurant feeling completely full and content. I would highly recommend this establishment and plan to visit again soon. The staff was also friendly and exceptionally helpful, adding to the overall positive atmosphere.”

“I flew here from Melbourne where you can't find Foster's on tap anywhere (go figure!). The beer is great, and most are pulled from a traditional pump. The fish and chips is up there with the the best I've had. This place vibes like I would hope every little street pub would vibe. It's a shame I have to fly back home to the other Croydon in Melbourne.”

He goes above and beyond to make everyone feel at home, even learning a few words from my native language, which truly meant a lot. “Lovely pub! Service was friendly and efficient. The pub was clean both inside and outside. There is a terrace at the back with some table and booths. The booths are equipped with heaters so you can enjoy them during all seasons. Food was nice and portions were sufficient for a group of 4. Toilets were clean. I would recommend this pub for any type of event. You can enjoy a pint with friends, or a party with colleagues. They also have live music sometimes so check the board at the entrance for information.”

“We booked for a large party of us to come late after a local event on a Monday night. We were going to arrive at about the time the kitchen was closing. Amy and the team were absolutely brilliant in making the whole thing work. We pre-ordered food, which was waiting for us when we arrived. Staff stayed late especially - which was amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to accommodate us and could not have been friendlier or more helpful. It was a lovely event - good food, reasonably priced and brilliant staff. Thank you to everyone at The Crown - it was a fab birthday celebration!”
