   Cool breeze used to be my regular. But over the last few years they’ve gone down hill. The fried fish is often over cooked and flavourless. The soup although could be titled mutton or red pea (non ital) will have 1 piece of meat in but way too much salt and pepper . The best thing is the drinks which they don’t always have. They barely ever have the proper patty collection and often forget food items. I truly wouldn’t recommend if you want authentic well cooked/ flavoured food.

   Remember growing up when your parents said to you "There is food at home."? Well that couldn't have been more true than today. I ordered a large Chicken Soup and a portion of Ackee and Saltfish. See photos for your judgement. Barely any meat in the soup but a chicken ankle and neck with a few flakes, yes flakes. The soup itself didn't even have flavour so I couldn't close my eyes and pretend it was a vegetable soup and enjoy it. The A&S, fish tasted funky. I'll say no more. Used to go here a few years ago but after today I am not sure I would return in a hurry. Better cook at home and save my money in this COLC.

   Can't believe it's my first time ordering from Cool Breeze for over a year and I feel absolutely outraged about the food. I never imagined that the food would have gone even further downhill than my generous 3-star last time but the food tonight is really dreadful. Tough curry mutton, no trace of curry flavour and extremely dry and the oxtail is barely passable - again no real flavours, a very light colour (which I can forgive as they obviously don't use browning) and it hasn't really been stewed down. I've never seen this horrible grade of glutenous rice being served in a catering setting before - it's not long grain rice - I see they have abandoned basmati. The mac cheese is actually inedible. The pasta is mushy with a paste texture and is devoid of any cheese. Was any cheese sauce or roux actually made for the pasta mix? I think not. The lowest grade cheese has been placed on top of this disgrace to make it 'mac cheese' but in reality, it's a dog's dinner. Cool Breeze used to be my Caribbean takeaway of choice for over a decade but started going downhill during lockdown. The final straw was a large batch of dried out and burned snapper and bream at Easter with rude customer service and I promised not to go back there. Here I am tonight, having willed Cool Breeze to bring me back as a customer. I was willing it to be good, if not at least passable. But no... It's literally a kick in the teeth. Into the bin it all goes. NEVER AGAIN.

   Not even dog you give this type of food to. Oxtail is hard as stone it need about 6 more hours to cook. The rice taste like washing up liquid, if this is really what you guys are cooking you need to pack it up and close down never again I'm my life ill order from you guys.

   me and my friend had a selection of wonderful vegetarian dishes including a stew (pictured) that tasted like a warm hug, as well as a wonderful slice of rum cake and a banana fritter. really delicious, generous portions and friendly service. shall certainly be returning

   Best home cooked food this side of London. I used to live in Hither Green and work in the Queen Elizabeth close by. Each time after a very long shift this is the place I would come to for a special treat. This place is family owned and has been around for what seems like forever. When you visit you will notice that is mostly the Family that is doing the cooking, with the Matriarch in the background overseeing the whole process. Regarding the food, I mean where to start? Their pasties are home made, none of that frozen stuff, and dumplings are made daily and in a variety of flavours. My go to dish was the oxtail and butter beans, but their curried goat was a close second. The rice and peas were out of this world.... They do a great jerk chicken and there is a daily cooking of various types of fish with a vast variety of sides to accompany, such as greens, veg curries and the like. One final thing to mention is the fact that I have been in this establishment when very poor and destitute people have come in for a feed and they have been treated like kings, with a full spread of food to feed them. Anyone can come in if they are poor and hungry and these, God's real people, will do their duty towards their brothers and sisters, and offer sanctuary and respect to those that need it the most. My advice is to go there and try EVERYTHING

   I am a frequent customer and have been for 12 years. Friendly and polite customer service is amazing. Feel like part of the family. Food is amazing every time, from the peppered steak to fried fish and the patties are fresh. Always busy which says the food is in high demand! Love them xx

   Placed an order on the phone at 4pm and asked for delivery at 5pm. The food came at 6pm. Was shocked when I saw the food as it did it look good at all. The fried chicken had a weird smell and was hard, definitely not cooked that day I even believe it was gone off due to the smell, Tye piece of chicken I received also looked like it didn’t get a thorough clean too. The jerk chicken didn’t resemble “jerk” and didn’t taste nice at all and again not fresh. The white rice was okay along with the steam vegetable. Waste of money and I’m still hungry as I can’t eat it.
