Went for lunch on a Friday, ordered dry pot beef, stir fried Chinese broccoli and some other dishes, all were amazing! My partner said it’s the best Chinese he had in a long time. I am Asian so I can verify it’s very authentic Chinese food, will definitely come back! Thank you chef for an amazing meal.
Had dinner with friends. We had pork knuckle and winter melon soup, salt and pepper tofu, braised aubergine, dry pot beef flank, mapo tofu and braised pork belly. It was all really well made and delicious, good portion sizes and quick service.
#### Ambiance and Cleanliness: This restaurant stands out for its cleanliness, which was evident from the moment we walked in. The spacious interior was well-maintained, adding to a pleasant dining experience. However, we visited at 4:00 PM on a Sunday, a typically quiet time, making it hard to gauge the usual atmosphere due to the emptiness of the large space. #### Food and Portions: The portions were generous and the food itself was delightful. Each dish was prepared with evident care, and the flavors were impressive. The quality of the food alone is a strong reason to consider returning. #### Service: Service was a bit slow, which was surprising since we were the only diners present. To be fair, the staff were also managing take-away and Deliveroo orders, which seemed to impact their efficiency. Despite the slower service, the staff were quite friendly, albeit a bit distant. #### Overall Experience: While the emptiness of the restaurant made it difficult to judge the usual atmosphere, and the service was slower than expected, the quality of the food makes me inclined to return. However, I am unsure about the take-away experience based on this visit. #### Verdict: Would I go back? Yes, for the in-restaurant dining experience, the lovely food makes it worth it. However, I would be cautious about ordering take-away given the service delays observed.
This is truly a gem of a restaurant in the Deptford area, and I’ve visited this place 5-6 times already. The dishes are so authentic and delicious. These are some of my favourite dishes: the grilled spicy fish is divine, I love the spicy aubergine, kung pao chicken, green beans with minced pork, and salmon fish head tofu soup! The service is also amazing! Esther is usually the one serving us and she’s so friendly and funny, and the lady boss is also really sweet and nice. I highly recommend Jinjiang :)
I do feel as though the standard of food has gone downhill here. It used to be excellent but everything tasted and smelled like it was cooked in old oil.
Water boiled beef in spicy chilli oil was totally amazing.
Had a fantastic meal here. Mapo tofu was good, but my favourite dishes were the spicy dumplings and the Winter melon and spare rib soup. Friendly service, however was cash only when I visited
Truly delicious Szechuan food. Every dish we've tried so far has been incredible, but by far the stand outs have been the sea spicy aubergine with pork and better yet, the spicy dumplings (pictured). The dumplings are a unique dish that I've not encountered else where, and the staff inform me it's their own recipe. I found myself hoarding the sauce in my rice bowl through fear it might get taken away. 100% must try.
Finally found our go to local Chinese takeaway! Everything we ordered tasted amazing! We ordered the appetiser for 2, beef hor fun, prawn in schezuan chili (10/10 - and so generously portioned it arrived in 2 containers), crispy shredded beef and tofu and pakchoy. They were all cooked to perfection and delivered on time. The only reason behind a 4 and not 5 star is that everything arrived in 100% plastic packaging. Would be great if they could look into biodegradable alternatives.
