Just finished excellent battered cod and chips. Generous chips serving, chunky and delicious, and the cod was supreme.
it says that is sells Chinese food but it only sells fish and chips and the workers are rude
December 2023..Really poor. It's no longer a fish and chip shop. Always had a good reputation but not any more. I only bought a small portion of chips. I went at about 6.00 pm thinking the chips would be freshly cooked. Sadly no....the chips were heated up from hours before suggesting people aren 't going there any more. They were expensive compared to other places and about half the portion you would expect. I really feel as though I've completely wasted my money. I'd never go there again. ps cash only!!
Always great fish & chips Amazing Chinese food
Were was going to order chips then I decided to change to Chinese on their menu. She not only short changed me. The Chinese food was of a low standard I order special fried rice It was just boiled rice with veg when we got home. The beef in black was bland the peking chicken and other rice was not the best just bland. I will not go back there
I asked for a small cod and chips. She charged me for a large. And customer service was terrible. The lady that served me was rude. She also short changed me, £10.20 I was owed back but didn’t receive it. I will not go back again.
The fish and chips are alright but the customer service stinks. Tried to charge me for a large cod when I asked for standard. Was then told they only had large and I'd have to wait. Was then given our food within 60 seconds and the piece definitely wasn't large. Not going back
The little room at the back of the shop is very old fashioned, but cosy. Straight up 'Cod or Haddock, chips, mushy peas and curry sauce with a crusty slice and a tea or coke' is a real joy. Fresh cooked fish with a light crunchy batter, lovely chips as they should be... Staff are friendly and helpful.
