   We visited Aqua Bar& Grill in Petts Wood last night and unfortunately, it was a rather underwhelming experience. We started with the bruschetta, which was disappointing – lacking in freshness and flavor. The fish platter was a real letdown; you could smell it from a few meters away, which made us question how fresh it really was. Definitely not the best. On a more positive note, the pork belly was actually quite good – well-flavored and nicely cooked. The prawn spaghetti was a bit on the oily side, but overall tasty and enjoyable. As for desserts, the cheesecake was okay, the panna cotta didn’t stand out, and the ice cream tasted old – possibly freezer-burned or just not stored properly. While the interior design of the restaurant is stylish and appealing, the food simply doesn’t match the ambiance. Given the price point, we expected more in terms of quality and freshness. Would I go again? No. Would I recommend it? Not really – there are better options around.

   I’m surprised by the negative reviews on here I came with my partner on a busy Sunday lunchtime and we only had light bites and mostly drank cocktails (both great) and we didn’t feel at all hurried and everyone around us seemed to be getting served their roasts very quickly. The staff were really friendly; drinks were prepared and served quickly and presented very nicely. Only slight criticism is I feel the cocktails are slightly overpriced for the area. But would definitely return.

   The food us always lovely in here. During summer nights lovely to eat alfresco. Last time we came in a big take food took over an hour to come, this weekend service was quick even though it was very busy.

   One of my local restaurants, my little daughters favourite as according to her they do the best plain spaghetti. I really would love to see some changes in the menu as it has been the same forever, expecially the vegetarian options. Every time we go I have the penne with tomato sauce, as I don't fancy neither the squash neither the wild mashroom risotto. Last visited was on Monday for my daughter's birthday and ever her was not impressed this time. Felt like waiteres was stressed and overwhelmed with work, still managed to smile.

   Delicious lunch, well presented and good value. We chose the two course menu followed by a coffee and both the sirloin steak and haddock main choices were excellent. Service was good and our waitress was lovely. Maybe a choice of salad leaves would be helpful for those who don't like rocket!

   For years this place was awful in most respects. Went back after many years, and with a different manager and staff, it has improved a great deal. Food was fine and the manager was friendly and helpful, completely unlike his predesessor. Need to go back some some more to confirm consistency.

   Aqua is fast becoming one of my favourite places to eat. There is always a very warm welcome, it's a light, bright and modern restaurant serving a wide variety of Mediterranean food. The food is attractively served and excellent value, for example the mixed fish platter is approx £22. Our party included a vegetarian and a celiac and we were all able to enjoy fabulous food We were served on our most recent visit by Tatiana, who has a lovely smile and was attentive and cheery even though the restaurant was very busy. The whole operation runs smoothly thanks to the professionalism and care of Paula, who oversees everything thus ensuring that every guest feels special and has the best experience. Highly recommended.

   We celebrated my daughters birthday there for a steak night and so happens that Mondays are half price for steak. The service was impeccable and nice even though it was a busy night we never felt neglected. Started was very good I always order the pork tempura melts in your mouth. The mixed platter mezzo was amazing as well served with amazing hummus dips. Sirloin steak medium rare was perfectly cooked. Ordered desserts together with my daughter's birthday cake and the staff even sung for her. Overall experience was great and memorable.

   Very friendly staff and attentive waitress. The food was delicious. We went for a family Birthday meal. His dessert came out with a candle on and they played happy Birthday to him. Which was a lovely touch as she had noticed him opening his cards and went above and beyond to make his night special. Would definitely recommend and we're looking forward to going back there
