One of my favourite places, have brought family and frds over the yrs but also go there on my own very regularly.. Have been going there for the past few yrs and it has remained consistently one with the best homely Nepalese cuisine one can find. Food - amazing, if unfamiliar ask for advice the ppl there are friendly and will give genuine advice (how I discovered my favourite dishes). The specials rotate and are always worth a try but personally my favourite are - starters: pani puri or jhol momo (if cold weather outside) - Main: chicken sekuwabwith rice and curry and ALWAYS get one of their breads they are worth it with lovely flavours and textures - Desert: lalmohan, sel roti, AND the homemade icecream Service: second to none, best way to say is that I feel at home there. Please tip, the price are crazy cheap and usually there is no service charge. Atmosphere: not the place for Instagram. You are in woolwhich and the fit out is light and simple but if you can get past that you are in for a treat. Also would say it is clean and hygienic. Have never been ill from the food there, even when reheating leftovers the day after (they do provide doggie bag if asked nicely)

During my 7-day trip from the U.S., I had the pleasure of dining at Maya DDs, a Nepalese restaurant located in Woolwich, South London. Our group of three enjoyed a variety of authentic Nepalese dishes, including Khasi ko Hakula, Momo, Sukuti, and Gorkha Beer (a Nepalese beer). Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared β a true taste of Nepal away from home. The service was equally impressive. Our servers, Gajendra and Sandhya, were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Maya DDs to anyone β Nepalese or otherwise β looking to experience genuine Nepalese cuisine in London. Itβs a great way to support a wonderful small business that delivers both quality food and warm hospitality.

Food and service are excellent in this restaurant, food was authentic and flavorful. Thukpa and jhol momo were quite delicious, while noodles and chhole bhature were tasty too. Worth visiting again!

Busy and popular restaurant. Service was incredibly friendly but pretty slow. On the plus side, the dishes take awhile to arrive because they seem to be freshly prepared. First time Iβve had fried momo and that was my mistake. Lacks the flavour of normal momo. I wasnβt a fan of that dish but the quantity was impressive. Enough to share as a starter for sure. The main thali platter had a lot of different flavours but if Iβm honest, I found it a bit disappointing. I may well return and try different dishes as I think thereβs a chance some other dishes would go down better with me, Portions are great, very filling and price was extremely good.

If you want authentic Nepalese food, then this is the place for you, and the fact that the restaurant is thriving in the midst of Greenwichβs large Nepalese community says it is doing things right. Its small corner location fills up quickly and reservations can be useful at peak times. Our group of four started with absolutely delicious Aloo Nimki and Samosa Chaat, then moved to some steamed momos. Our main was a vegetarian/chicken/lamb platter accompanied by some nicely done Cauli Aloo. We found the food quality to be very good and the prices reasonable, but service downstairs a bit slow.

Very friendly family run Nepalese restaurant, very reasonably priced. Food was tasty, although on the salty side, interesting to try new items. We had the tripe and gizzard, both we were good. The momos are the highlights!

This was my 4th visit to maya dd but this time was with my Muslim friends hence food restriction. Even though its not mentioned in menu, they provide halal chicken and lamb dishes. They showed evidence of bill purchase for lamb and chicken from halal certified shop which my friends appriciated. Definitely chicken momo (steam and fried), sel roti set, nepali coffee... A must try!! No complain about service we received. Will be returning soon as my friends liked their first nepali cuisine and hospitality!!

Amazing Nepalese Restaurant, with a fantastic and authentic menu. Happens to be my Girlfriend's favourite place in London... as she is Nepalese, and can attest to the quality and accuracy of the traditional food served there. Location is great, interior design is simple, elegant and warm/welcoming. The food is delicious and the pricing is very affordable. *Service charge is NOT included... so please remember to tip the waiter/waitress, as they are very attentive, professional and helpful.

My husband is Nepalese and we have tried various Nepalese restaurants around the UK. This is his favourite by far and I love it too. Delicious, authentic Nepalese food and very hospitable service. We keep going back and will continue to do so!
