Dined here on a busy Friday morning.. we were greeted with a smile, seated, and given the menus. The decor is amazing and the seating is spacious. The menu is extensive with good choices. Service is fast and the staff is friendly. The food tastes good and is well presented. My only negative here would be that the portion sizes are a bit small. Bar that, an awesome dining experience!

It’s a really nice looking place inside and out. Great decor and spacious feel despite it being busy. I ordered a chicken and avocado wrap with chips. It was nice but a bit dry. The chips were great and a decent portion too! It might just be what I ordered this time round but overall it’s a nice spot for lunch and would consider coming back. It’s just that my first experience didn’t blow me away.

I stopped by Molens Brasserie in Loughton for lunch recently, and it was a fantastic experience. Located on the High Road, this charming spot has been a local favorite since 1985, and it’s clear why. The vibe is warm, inviting, and effortlessly stylish, blending cozy and upscale perfectly – great for a relaxed midday meal. The menu is packed with options, from hearty sandwiches to fresh salads and comforting classics. I went for the Chicken Escalope sandwich, and it was on point – tender, perfectly cooked chicken in a soft granary roll with crisp lettuce, cucumber, and a zesty lemon mayo that made every bite pop. My buddy chose the lasagna, served piping hot with golden fries and a fresh side salad – classic comfort food done right. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with generous portions and bold flavors. The staff were a real highlight – super friendly, attentive, and full of warmth. Joseph, in particular, stood out, greeting us with a genuine smile and keeping everything running smoothly, even as the place hummed with lunchtime diners. Our drinks arrived quickly, perfectly complementing the meal, and the service was flawless throughout. Molens Brasserie is an awesome spot for lunch, whether you’re dining solo, with friends, or with family. The quality, atmosphere, and stellar team make it a standout in Loughton.

Very nice decor and atmosphere. Food was good but not excellent. My salt beef sandwich was great, but my husband’s burger was a bit too cooked; sweet potato fries were great and my carrot juice was perfect! Staff is absolutely lovely, polite and welcoming. I would visit again and recommend! Note: Not dog friendly inside - only outdoor seating!

Visited today for first time with family travelled abit of a way to meet long time friend. Place is beautiful, toilets and place in generally is very super clean :) Staffs were ever so lovely.. food wasn’t the greatest for me and I think very over priced for kids for just the basic (£8 per child) and small portion on big plate & doesn’t come with drink for the price but because the service was great it was a balance nothing that can’t be worked on :) Again staffs were really lovely & kitchen and chefs all so lovely If your local to there why not :) xxx

As an all day eatery I think they've got this place absolutely spon-on. Please don't change a thing! Very attentive service. Plenty of polite (well-trained) staff, no waiting, taken to the table. Table service impeccable. Hugely impressed. Piping hot food (and coffee) came quickly, fresh and with good quality ingredients, the breakfast was plentiful and was cooked to perfection. Eggs although "fried" on the menu were more like a beautifully steamed - almost poached egg consistency. Gorgeous. Hell, they even open the door for you on the way out. I'll definitely be coming back.

Excellent food and welcoming atmosphere. Food was really good and tasted delicious as well as fresh. Many vegetarian options but I didn’t notice any item highlighted as Vegan. I would definitely love to see some vegan and gluten free options in the future. We tried a green smoothie which tasted extremely good, to accompany some french toasts and a vegetarian English breakfast. Service was friendly, although it seemed quite confusing due to the high number of employees around compared to the customers.

Molen's is a good stop for a bite whether you're after breakfast (all day if you just have to get your fix in) or lunch. The menu has good choice and the fresh juices and shakes are incredible. Staff are friendly, and were happy to help by adjusting the dishes to suit allergies. The restaurant itself is stylish and makes for an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful restaurant. Helpful staff and food quality was top notch. JOSEPH our waiter took very good care of us! We will be back when we are in the area again. Only thing is we didn't know about service charge but no problem. I recommend the Nutella and Coffee Milkshake.

Always a popular choice! Met by a very polite and helpful guy at the door, and led to a table of my choice. He was extremely thoughtful and offered to find me another table if being near to the door was too cold. I ordered the French toast with fruits and honey, and a cup of tea. Service very efficient and polite. French toast was delicious. PG tips tea bag in a cup of hot water was good too. Prices are fairly reasonable, towards the more expensive side, but the quality of food, surroundings and service justifies it. Very recommendable for a Saturday morning weekend breakfast!
