Lespice in New Eltham is a real find. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious full of flavour, beautifully cooked, and clearly made with care. Everything we tried was spot on, with generous portions and well-balanced spices. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the team were happy to help with recommendations. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit highly recommended.

Just ordered takeaway through JustEat and I’m really disappointed. The food smelled and tasted completely flavourless, and my saag dish only had two small pieces of chicken in it. The onion bhajis tasted old, like they’d been refried. I’d heard great things about this restaurant, but this meal felt like reheated food from earlier or even yesterday.

I think I would have preferred a microwave curry from the co-op next door! The bhajis were past the term β€˜overcooked’ and had no taste, almost as if eating a clump of crispy/chewy shoelaces from an old boot dropped in oil. Tried a bite out of each, it was the same oral experience across the board for them all, 0/10. The curry’s we both got, a vindaloo and a tikka masala, wasn’t the greatest, rubbery chicken and not much filling, 75% was literally sauce. A man such as myself who has had many a curry, hasn’t had a day after like that if you can read between the lines! Being completely empty, we expected real effort being put into the food, there was not real effort put into our food. The barren landscape should have acted as a warning!

Absolutely outstanding! The friendliest service we’ve ever had – the team went above and beyond to look after us. Food was superb: crisp onion bhajis, stunning chicken tikka masala, flavour-packed biryani, and the fluffiest naan ever. A true gem in Eltham – highly recommend!

Best Indian in town. I’ve been a customer for 22 years at le spice and i can tell you the food is always excellent.

This has got to be the worst Indian take away I have ever had. All the dishes were absolutely swimming in oil, the mint yoghurt was coloured an artificial bright yellow(?) and on the whole it all lacked flavour. The staff were very friendly however I will not be returning.
