Very good food, really fresh and tasty and the price is very reasonable. We were taken care of by the waiter by name Khaisa. He was very quick in taking our order. The staff are very welcoming. Food arrived within 10min. This was my 3rd visit to this restaurant. Whenever I am in Ilford I tend to visit Watan for lunch. Thanks Khaisa.

βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Absolutely Fantastic! I had an amazing experience at Watan! The food was bursting with authentic Pakistani flavors β rich, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted freshly made and full of depth, from the tender kebabs to the flavourful Chicken Karahi. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, creating a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. You can really tell they take pride in their cooking and hospitality. If youβre craving genuine Pakistani cuisine, Watan is an absolute must-visit. I canβt wait to go back!

A good restaurant but needs to work on it's hospitality, management and taste. Detailed information below. Taste : 2 / 5 Hospitality : 1 / 5 Ambience : 3.5 / 5 Area: congested tables Reviews on the food: - chicken wings and chips, wings were tasty but too small. Instead of promising 10 wings and serving mini wings. Rather give 6 or 8 wings that are big. - Chicken saag didn't have the taste. It was too bland. But considering the place I would say it's not bad to eat bland food. - Lamb chops. This was the WORST dish I ordered it felt like the chops were just overnight marinated with lemon, pepper and a lil ginger garlic paste and just tandoor roasted. I asked the waiter to talk to the chef and ask him to improve it mentioning a few spices and a method of roast. He went back and informed maybe his shift leader and I see them 3 look at my table and having a discussion but not working on what I said. The tables are very closely kept to one another, people passing by happen to stumble passing by. No space for waiters themselves to pass by.

The Chapli kebab was very good but very pricey. Β£6.50 for 1. The saag ghost was lamb against tasty food although the lamb could have been tender. The roast chicken was 5 star. . Service was good and restaurant is clean.

Had dinner with friends at Watan after passing by it and always seeing people queue outside which made me curious . Ordered lamb dumplings, chicken wings and a gravy, bread, rice. Food tasted fine nothing special! We did have to queue outside for quite a bit since it was weekend and dinner time but didnβt feel it worthwhile. Couldnβt get pictures of all the food as we were very hungry from the waiting.

A lovely family friendly restaurant selling traditional Afghan and Pakistani cuisine curry and grills. For a Monday evening the restaurant was very busy. Waited 30mins for a table which we didnβt mind. The waiter was excellent at front informing us of timeframe and gave us a menu to order to speed up waiting at table which we thought was a very good method to use. The food didnβt take too long once we sat at our table. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was hot, fresh and was presented very well. We order a special Afghan grill to serve 3-4 people, peshwari Lamb Karachi, nan bread and Mango Lassi. Food was lovely and tasty. We didnβt feel rushed by staff but had waiting customer starring at us to get up and go. I would suggest ordering some chairs for people to wait outside as the inside area is too small and customer spilling inside disrupting people sitting and eating near entrance. I would also suggest staff clean the cooking area looked very messy and untidy/unhygienic. The cooking area was open with glass and the area itself is an experience I and my friends were looking forward to seeing and watching. All we talked about was how untidy area was when going to pay. Price was very reasonable and fair for experience. Overall a good experience, food and service was good.

Entirely satisfied with the visit. The decor was beautiful, food was delicious and service was excellent. We had the Afghan Mixed Grill with strawberry and classic mojitos. The meat was cooked to perfection, nice and fresh. The drinks were tangy and refreshing. We went at 12pm and within 30 mins it got pretty full, seemed like everyone was enjoying their food too.

Decent food and very decent prices. I personally wouldn't recommend the curry, it wasn't anything special. But the mix grill platter was good and great value for money. The restaurant can get quite loud and packed during peak times, so something to bear in mind if you're looking to visit
