   My son ordered food for the family via Just Eat, Chigwell Fish Bar left out a Large Cod which resulted in a person eating dinner on there own with cold sides such as mush peas.

   Ordered haddock, cod and chips. The haddock was fried to order and the chips were a generous portion. However what was sold to me as cod was overcooked and dried out, if it actually was cod, it did not have the consistency of cod. What a shame I shan’t be rushing back.

   I was passing through Chigwell for work on Thursday 17/07 and saw hand written a sign in the window stating Chicken wrap £5. I ordered this a tea, marked at £1.50 on the board above the till. The wrap was tasteless made of pieces of something deep fried in a wrap. It took nearly 30 minutes to get it to the table and the salad with it was pathetic. I left half of it and asked to settle. The guy said “£9.00 cash only.” I pointed out both prices and he said these are takeaway prices. Therefore both signs are misleading. The wrap was £7 and the tea £2 to eat in but they do NOT say this and the insistence on cash is all too familiar for some businesses looking to avoid their income declaration. The nearby ‘Deli’ was packed whereas this place only had two other customers. Bottom line….avoid, avoid, avoid !

   Very bad experience. Fish overcooked, mushy, some parts hard and chewy... tasteless. Price? Definitely overpriced! 2 * for chips, very good and decent portion and for tartar sauce.

   Once again delicious cod and chips. I simply can not fault their food. Only once did I have an issue,that was with a quarter chicken.

   I usually don’t leave a review BUT what can I say. The chef is no.1! The Haddock was huge and I can barely finish it. The chips were nicely cooked and not greasy. Amazing homemade tartare sauce. Worth the 50p 100%%%. Will DEFINITELY be back as I work nearby at Barclays.
