   My starter was very nice and I enjoyed it . However my main course a prawn ravioli consisted of 5 small pieces of ravioli and 2 tiny pieces of prawn on top . One of the people we were with commented that they hoped I was not hungry! I was and was just as hungry after I had eaten it . My tiramisu dessert came as a small half tennis ball sized dome and was more like a mousse with a sponge base . My husband was equally underwhelmed by his meal. The meal for 4 with wine was circa £100 per head . I have no problem paying that if it was worth it . Sorry it felt like overpriced pretentiousness.

   We booked this delightful restaurant based simply on its location being close to a concert we were later attending. Not having really looked into it, we were stunned by the quality of service, food and overall feel of the place. It is exquisite – fine dining in a cosy but very nicely appointed bistro space. And if the food – which was spectacularly good – wasn’t enough, they have a wine list to die for. You will not find better in Sheffield.

   Wow wow wow!!!! This review just won’t be enough to explain how “out of this world”our experience was at Vero Gusto. One of the servers (a lady from Sicily) was so chatty and funny, actually all of the servers were amazing and chatty. Saverio kept coming and topping our water up and checking everything was okay and constantly making sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. Ester who is the chef is one amazing lady, the food was out of this world honestly. You definitely get what you pay for here and I would recommend it to anyone. We’ve not been on a “date night” in a long time but we are going to make sure we do it more often and come to Vero Gusto. Thank you so much guys and well done! Emma and Isaac.x

   Food was really amazing. Each course was fresh and tasteful. The dining is authentic. The service is great, the staff are attentive but not intrusive. It certainly is on the higher end in terms of price, however, the money is put back into the food, ambience, atmosphere and service.

   Very delicious authentic Italian food, with great wines & dessert too. Quite pricey but it does evidently go into the food quality and preparation. Taking away one star though because I didn’t like the ambiance much — tables were too close together and the dining space a bit busy & distracting. Service is fast and attentive, but not the warmest. Was expecting a different vibe for the price. But all in all, while it was not the most relaxing/ romantic fine dining experience, it’s the food that can make you keep coming back.

   Superb place, close to the theatres in Sheffield. Excellent food. Fabulous interior and brilliant staff and service. Highly recommended pre-show but this place is really worthy of time being spent over your meal. It has a huge wine selection at some crazy prices, if you wanted to spend a lot of money on fine wine! It has normal priced and great wines too. Thank you for a lovely experience
