   Hadnt been golden fish in a while Just a quick dinner for 4 Large chips was 5.75 and was the smallest portion on earth only did a small serving of chips for 3 and savaloys was dry as hell and like sandpaper as was dryed out .the kids wouldn't even eat them . Just wow . I remember this chip shop having a q down the road Fri and sats I dont know about that now . Gone down hill . Actually thinking about it now I wonder what size or how many chips are in small portion of chips . The person that served me a young lad was very polite and professional.but other than that no I won't ever go back to buy food again. In shock .

   This fish and chip shop has been part of my family for over ten years. When my children went to swimming lessons they would come to the Golden Fish for a meal afterwards sometimes. Yesterday my daughter chose to celebrate her Birthday at the Golden Fish! It still serves the best fish and chips in the area in my opinion!

   Ordered dinner got home it was wrong called and he was dismissive saying they will check the audio a call me back. No call back returned to the shop with the wrong item. Expected an apology was met with rudeness and conceit. Dismissive attitude. Felt like theft. Received what we didn’t order whilst they rob you blind.

   Terrible food, soft fish and no salt added as requested. When I informed the day manager, only an weak apology. In a time of hardship no individual including themselves, would be happy to pay £9 plus for food that is unacceptable and undressed as requested. This is the second visit I have found the quality of the food to be poor. Will NOT be returning EVER. The mature woman serving did not listen to my request and is taking card and money payment then immediately serving food with the same hands. Such poor hygiene practice is worrying and I am certain the council would not be pleased that is how food is being processed. Google what is the phone number for Barking and Dagenham Council?

   Definitely the best fish and chips around. Ordered 4 cod and a large and small chips, everyone loved it and it all went! Delicious. Friendly helpful staff too!

   Beautiful Chip shop, We just had Cod and Chips, with a Saveloy starter.. Absolutely divine repast, pure ambrosia.. The Gods would surely love the " Golden Fish".. 11 out of 10, for flavour and taste.. Best Chippy in Dagenham, by a long chalk.
