The chips were absolutely fantastic, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The fish was fresh, flaky and full of flavour. I also tried the chicken wing meal and the chicken was lovely, well-seasoned, juicy and cooked perfectly. Really impressed with the quality of everything and will definitely be coming back!
The combo meal with chicken and ribs tasted awful. You could taste the fish batter flavour on the chicken meaning its dipped in the same oil and very negative if you have food allergies. The ribs were so hard. I spent a large amount and could only eat the chips. Such a waste of money. Disappointmented as the Saveloy and beef burger previously bought was nice and get large amounts of chips.
One of the best i’ve had. Fish isnt greasy, batter is crispy. Curry sauce is good, will definitely order again!
Absolutely awful!! Husband came in for just a bag of chips wrapped up. Manager asked if he would like salt and vinegar to which my husband answered yes. As he salted them the lid came off the shaker, not thinking much of it ( cause you’d assume no one would sell you chips saturated in salt) and my husband see the manger brush the salt off the counter assuming it hadn’t gone on the chips, this is what he came home with. Totally inedible!!
A top fish and chips place in Essex. The only downside is heart disease, so be careful of the amount you eat!
What on earth have you done to your chips, they used to be proper chip shop chips now skinny chips, not a single fish and chip shop in collier row know how to do proper chips anymore either too skinny or too short or both and lots of little bits off cuts absolute waste of time, i would prefer less but better quality, I won't be ordering here again. Go back to proper chip shop chips.
Absolutely disgusted with the service and the food here. The girl working the was so miserable! She didn’t even attempt to slap on a smile to serve and greet the customers. She was too busy bending over the counter and using her phone! When we did get our order of fish and chips. The chips were cold and clearly been sitting there for a while and were not something that should have even been served. I asked for fresh chips and she then tried to lie and say they had just come out the fryer! So your fryer produces cold chips! I’d get a new one then. The attitude stunk to even say that is down right rude. So rather than make fresh chips, the old ones were put back in the fryer. Shocked and appalled by the absolute disrespect and lack of customer service skills these staff members have. Definitely never to return!
Harry edwards young male worker had terrible attitude and no respect to customers! He also ruined my order putting wrong items and small amount of chips also I asked for a sausage and he said he has a special and pulled his Willy out will be coming back again has a nice sausage
One of the best fish and chips shop with a great service and quality food. They also do a lunchtime special on cod & chips which is a perfect portion for that price.
