   ⭐️ 2 out of 5 stars An Honest Review I wanted to share an honest review after visiting this restaurant for my mum’s birthday especially since it’s been getting so much hype on social media. Honestly, I have no idea why, particularly on Instagram. Sadly, our experience didn’t live up to the expectations at all. The food was incredibly bland and lacked any real flavour. I’m genuinely confused as to why this place is so highly recommended because, truthfully, it had no flavour whatsoever. The chicken curry was completely tasteless, the sweet & sour chicken was overcooked, and the beef in black bean sauce was so chewy it bordered on leathery. The chicken chow mein? Just plain noodles with zero seasoning or depth. Portion sizes were small especially the rice dishes and absolutely not worth the price. The only thing nice were the prawn crackers, which honestly says a lot. To top it off, the tiger prawn appetiser has to be pre-ordered and costs £25 for a single portion the same as paying for one person at Cosmo, where you can help yourself as many times as you like. Honestly, the social media hype oversells this place massively. Do not fall into the trap the misrepresentation of this restaurant online is honestly wild. We definitely got caught up in the buzz and wanted to see for ourselves what the fuss was about, but it simply wasn’t worth it. The only saving grace was the service the staff were genuinely lovely and attentive, and that’s the only reason this isn’t a one-star review. Unfortunately, the food, value, and overall experience left us so disappointed that we won’t be returning.

   Blue Orchid was recommended to me. Staff were very attentive until you ask for the bill then before you've even paid the top table cloth is being taken off. Rude. Should wait till you leave the table. I dinned with 4 others and we each paid our own however when working out the bill we were being over charged by £10.00. We queried this and eventually was looked at by a second member of staff. I had a special chow mein, egg fried rice and beef with mushroom. 1 beer. My grandson had special curry with rice and tap water. £65.00. Total bill. The food tasted very bland. All white table cloths, no music no ambience. Over rated restaurant and over priced. I'll stick to my local take away.

   Wow. Whole experience was fantastic. Richard and staff were really lovely and welcoming. Food was amazing. We went for lunch but ordered off the main menu which came out piping hot and was the best Chinese we have tasted. We got most of it boxed up to take home for dinner as ordered a few dishes to try. Ordered chicken chow mein, egg fried rice, satay chicken, barbecue ribs in sauce, Chinese duck and sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style. The chicken was juicy, the ribs fell off the bone, all the food was really enjoyable. This will definitely be our new go to Chinese and recommend it to anyone who loves a Chinese. The restaurant was very clean was lovely sitting in there but they also do takeaway.

   Very tasty, authentic dishes. Staff very friendly and will go the extra mile without asking. Party of five, we had crispy duck, kung po chicken, lemon chicken, chicken satay, squid, Singapore noodles, egg fried rice, beef short ribs - and more! And all of it was delicious!

   Best Chinese I've had for ages. Every dish was amazing. Restaurant was fully booked however they still went out of their way to accommodate us. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Will definitely be returning soon.

   Had a wonderful time, there was 11 of us and even for that amount of people the service was unbelievable. The prawn toast was amazing, the beef sizzler blwas excellent but the honey prawns were the star of the show. Would definitely recommend this place.

   Chicken egg spicy noodles are really awesome. I did not expect the taste I was actually looking for but I just got the exact taste more than my expectations. I really love this restaurant with good ambience and good people. Highly recommend..❤❤

   Delicious Chinese (Cantonese) food. Quality ingredients and very friendly staff. We ordered the Chicken with black bean sauce, salted chilli King prawns, salt and chilli bean curd and sizzling fillet Cantonese style. These king prawns were our favourite but all dishes were nice. Would definitely go back again.
