First visit here and what a little gem in Hornchurch. Not a massive menu choice but more than enough for the 5 of us to have something different. Recommend the goat's cheese, fish cake, mushrooms, snd chicken starters, lamb cutlets, chicken with garlic butter, skate wing, and pasta for mains. All good portions, none of us needed a dessert. 5 people, 2 courses each, drinks, £170. Good value, recommended.

I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about this place, but it was incredibly disappointing. We booked months ago and paid a £50 deposit. When we arrived we didn’t even have a table! They took 10 minutes to evict people off of their existing tables and squished us in the middle of the room. After paying £50 to book a table, you’d expect we’d have somewhere to sit!!! It was uncomfortable. The service was subpar and the staff rolled their eyes at my partner when he asked for cutlery that wasn’t there. In addition, on numerous occasions our tables weren’t cleared and we were not offered additional drinks even once - even though our glasses were empty. We tried to get the staffs attention but we were ignored. My family enjoyed their food, they had multiple fish dishes as well as steak. However the lamb was bland and really tough. I wouldn’t recommend it. Plus basic vegetables of green beans and broccoli are around £4 each which is simply a con. When it came to the bill, we noticed that they didn’t deduct our initial deposit (easy mistake to make). Once deducted we noticed that two additional drinks had been put on the end of the bill as well as a £30 service charge. Even once the deductions were made, we were still expected to pay the £30 service charge! Despite the menu saying that groups of 5 are charged a 10% service charge, we were charged a whopping 22%. In addition, the staff were shocked that we didn’t want to pay a 22% service charge due to the lack of service. They were quite rude about it. I like to think that myself and my family are understanding after working in hospitality. However I will absolutely not come here again.

Amazing New Year's Eve night at Riennas. From start to finish the atmosphere and staff were outstanding and with singer it was a special touch. The food was flawless. Wish we could give them 6 star review!

Lovely little restaurant to come for a cosy dinner with hearty food. The best surf and turf with lovely sides too. Even though the restaurant can get a tad loud, they have a great team and good service. Thank you for having us !

We found the food to be exceptional in this restaurant. The service was great and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The steak cooked really well and it's tasty and filling, just what we had wanted from our evening meal!

Delicious food, good service... a bit noisy but it was a packed Friday evening. The oysters were fantastic, and the swordfish & prawn special was perfectly cooked. We have always had a good experience here but they excelled themselves this time with the quality of the food. Highly recommended!

I can’t quite explain why it’s taken so long to return to Riennas. But all I can say now is that after today’s fabulous lunch our next visit will be that far away. This was a fantastic dining experience with great food and the friendliest of service. All I want to add is that if you haven’t been yet then pick up the phone and book a table now. As soon as we walked through the door we received a lovely warm welcome before being escorted to our table. Once we got comfortable we were presented with the menu and informed of the day’s specials. We then ordered a bottle of the Kleindal South African Chenin Blanc 2022 while we decided what to have. The menu consists of appetisers , oysters , lobsters , steaks , surf and turf , fish , meat , pasta and side dishes. Once we’d had a chat with Anna who was an absolute delight throughout we placed our order. STARTERS - We began with the Mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce as well as for myself I opted for the Seafood Pot of the special’s which consisted of tiger prawns , calamari , prawns and mussels. Both dishes were delicious and the quality of the produce was amazing. MAINS - Here we both decided to have fish starting with my wife’s choice of Sea Bass with white wine , tomato , prawn and chilli sauce served with sauté potatoes. I chose the Smoked Haddock with a poached egg and served on a bed of mash potatoes. We also chose a green beans and cauliflower cheese to accompany the dishes. Both dishes were fantastic and cooked to perfection. DESSERTS - After a nice little break where my wife and Anna decided to talk to each other in Italian we moved on to dessert. Now they may have looked like old school desserts you used to get in a pub but here they were elevated to the next level. The Sticky Toffee Pudding and the Apple Pie which were both served with custard were amazing and the presentation was stunning. We finished with a coffee to bring to an end a fabulous dining experience and definitely one we want to repeat very soon. I know quite a lot of locals rate this restaurant highly and I’m now delighted to say that I have joined them. So if you haven’t managed to visit RIENNAS yet then I would highly recommend doing so.

Never been before, but now wonder why. This is not a cheap restaurant but it is worth every single penny. Food was fantastic, atmosphere brilliant and the staff had that spot on balance of being friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Music was equally great which made it a fantastic evening.

First time and definitely not the last. One of the best bday dinners I've had. Host/waitress was brilliant. Considering how busy the restaurant was, the servers were ON POINT. Effortless great service. I normally don't drink during my meal but the cocktails were brilliant. We looked at the menu before we got there thinking we were already spoilt for choice but then we were told the specials which made it even harder. Seafood pot was filling and that was just the starter lol. The lobster was full of flavour and a decent size for the price. The prawns definitely took centre stage in every dish they were in. They didn't know it was my bday till we paid and still they popped out a happy bday plate with the best cheesecake I've had. Thank you again for a wonderful evening. We'll be seeing you in the near future
