   Ordered a Large Cod & Chips. Fish was defrosted and not cooked properly. I hade to drive back and get my refund. Poor attitude from the owner giving me a can of drink for my inconvenience for wasting 40 minutes in total driving there and back twice! Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

   ⭐☆☆☆☆ - Disappointed with the Chips Went to Golden Fish Bar after hearing some decent things, but honestly, I don’t understand the hype. The chips were a huge letdown — soggy, pale, and completely lacking in flavour. They tasted like they’d been sitting out for ages, and there was no crispiness to them at all. No seasoning, barely warm, and definitely not fresh. For a place that calls itself a chip shop, you’d expect the chips to at least be done right. Won’t be rushing back. Also the staff were laughing at me after I asked how good the food is. WONT BE COMING BACK!!!!!

   Was torn between 2 and 3 stars, but especially when considering options such as Princes Fishbar and Crayford Fish & Chips, the staleness, dryness (both fish and chips), lack of flavour, and nonchalant/bordering rude customer service, are just not up to par. They place more focus on how much you spend trying to upsell with undermiming tones (strange), than just selling good, fresh, well-cooked fish & chips (and extras - saveloy was dry too). Wouldn’t recommend. Head down to Princes Road around the corner - have no affiliation with them of course (read the other relatively revent reviews) - we just care about good, hygenic, fresh food, and personable, good-natured customer service.

   £9,90 for large cod with chips (normal price and portion - maybe even on the higher side considering there is no seating and location) - normal taste also. Probably didn’t help walking back to place 15 min by that time chips and batter were soft even though the fish was freshly cooked …

   Rather poor, maybe because it was 21.30 on a Wednesday? Nether the less I ordered 2 pieces of chicken and asked for "No legs" which was ignored. Also no napkins or freshen up wipes. Chips were old, and poor quality. I ate outside, where there was no rubbish bin. Overall, I won't be returning fir sure!

   Been using this shop regularly for last 2-3 years but today was and is my last time there not only has the prices gone up a while ago at the same time the portions got smaller and smaller, today orders large cod and chips got about 20 chips and the smallest cod you can think of, gave them the benefit of the doubt over the past few weeks but the portions remained rather small. Will NEVER use them again. Should look after their loyal customers,
