   I recently dined in at Chariot Fish Ship and ordered the ribs and chips, and honestly, they were amazing. The ribs were generously covered in BBQ sauce and absolutely delicious. I was really impressed. However, my guest ordered the regular cod and chips, and the portion size was quite disappointing, very small. Because I enjoyed the ribs so much in the restaurant, I decided to order them again as a takeaway. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different. When I got home, the ribs were inedible. They were not the same as what I had in-store. These were oily, greasy, and seemed like they had just been dropped in oil to heat them up. They tasted terrible and were nothing like the delicious BBQ ribs I’d had earlier. I couldn’t eat them and ended up giving them to my dog. I called the shop to let them know what happened, and all they said was, “Next time you come in, ask for BBQ ribs.” They didn’t even offer a replacement or to come back and get fresh ribs. I explained that the takeaway ribs shouldn’t even be served to people, and I felt very disappointed by the lack of care in their response.

   Went in for chips and saw the fresh lobster on the range ended up staying in and feasting. Grest service. Very well cooked lobster muscles and scallops. Amazing to have such a wonderful seafood restaurant/ fish and chips shop in Gidea Park.

   Heard good things and finally stopped and made an order. Very friendly chaps behind the counter. They made a big show of giving a bit extra at no additional charge. The chips are amazing. Pukka pie was good. Onion rings were okay. Mediterranean salad was limp, sweaty and brown. Quarter pounder with cheese and just lettuce was poor, took a look at the lettuce and some of it was brown. The ribs were dry, I was expecting BBQ ribs, very disappointing that the option was not given. The Cod looked so good and there were 2 small additional pieces, however the Cod was mainly batter and hollow. Feels like that we were conned with volume rather than quality. Will not give it a second chance. Wish I took pictures and posted some evidence. Merry Christmas

   A fantastic restaurant. Went there for the 1st time last Friday with my Mrs, ordered the Lobster Platter. Was delicious and filling for the both of us. But what impressed me most was the customer service. Such a friendly atmosphere, they make everyone feel welcome and a real community. Will definitely be coming back...

   Went for the 1st time Saturday evening, staff were so helpful and the food was amazing. I had the fish platter for 2 and my partner had the steak and wow we loved it. The seafood was perfect and the steak was like velvet. The owner came and spoke to us and made us feel very welcome. Thankyou will be visiting again

   This restaurant has the full package, this isn't just a fish and chip shop... The service is top level, as soon as you walk in you're greeted, the atmosphere is suave, classy and clean. The food like I said not just a fish and chip shop (although I must say, the cod and chips is to die for lol) I was recommended the steak with mash potatoes and my partner the pasta with king prawns... My goodness look no further honestly. Kem, you are a legend - I will be returning!

   Visited for the first time today and will definitely be back. The seafood platter to start was a delight. The fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was light and crispy. The staff were also very friendly.
