Just moved to the area and had a takeaway from Bongow. The service was of the highest quality especially how busy it was. The food was awesome a this also included a vegetarian dish. Even though this was a takeaway, the atmosphere in the sit-down and takeaway area was first class. Would certainly recommend this restaurant. Lenny

100% the best Indian restaurant in Essex, I would say even in the UK. The team are so lovely, accommodating and friendly. The refurbishment is absolutely amazing, honestly one of the nicest looking restaurants we have ever visited and the food is delicious. This is easily my favourite Indian restaurant in Essex. The staff are super friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is excellent value for money and the portion sizes are very generous. I can’t wait to return after the refurb is finished!
Had a fantastic evening at bongow food was amazing, Ali is such a asset to bongows so welcoming, friendly and can’t help enough. Highly recommend having a meal here. Good value, can’t recommend enough.
Our local Indian restaurant, have had plenty of takeaways and sit down meals, very good food, very thoughtful and professional staff. Shame our last visit there was ruined by the small group who were seated next to us, they made the Clampetts seem polite lol. Still that wasn't totally the restaurant's issue.☺️ 17th February 2023. Headed back to Bongow for a meal last night. Food was absolutely first class, no mean feat as of our party of six, three were carnivores, one vegeterian and two vegan. Staff could not have been more helpful and accomodationing. Welcoming, professional, lovely atmosphere and reasonable pricing. Thoroughly recommend.

Service with a smile, never fails to impress. Haven’t read the menu in years of coming here, boss always knows what I will like. Wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who likes a good curry and even to those who’s a bit skeptical on spice. 10/10
