   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been coming to Mason in Brentwood for years with friends and family, and it never disappoints. The food is always exceptional — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Whether it’s a hearty roast or a delicious steak, every dish is consistently top-notch. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and welcoming — it’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Jay and his team do a fantastic job every single time; their service is friendly, professional, and they genuinely care about making sure everyone has a great experience. It’s easily one of the best spots in Brentwood for a quality meal and a lovely evening out. Highly recommend!

   Large group booking for a family birthday, were in the back room which was perfect for us, although shared with another group. Service was excellent, food was superb and all delivered hot and in good time, (sides are huge so get them to share). Live pianist playing was lovely. Not cheap but great for a special occasion.

   Had a celebration meal here for our 25th wedding anniversary and, as usual, it was excellent. It isn't cheap but is still good value as the setting and the food are superb. The staff are great and you never feel rushed. I couldn't recommend it enough for a special occasion.

   We had our Christmas Dinner at Masons this year and it was perfect. The food, drink and service was spot on. The pianist set a great atmosphere in the well decorated and newly renovated restaurant. Even though it was busy there was never a point we were left waiting. Great experience and will be returning for non festive meals.

   Super meal for a very special birthday. We were not easy to accommodate, with indecision and late notices of meals, but the staff were professional at all times. Food was superb, albeit a shame sides were quite expensive and it seemed no sides came with the main meal - but the pigeon was superb, as was the pork belly. Travelled a long way (from Sheffield that morning) and it was great to be in such a relaxed and attentive atmosphere. 4 stars for atmosphere was purely as it was quite quiet, but we we shielded from that anyway and had our own space.

   We were part of a large Christmas party of approx 40 people last night. Whilst the starters and desserts were of reasonable quality, the pre-portioned turkey appeared to have come from a well-known off-site catering company, hence an average taste. The dishes of mixed vegetables contained 75% swede and frankly weren't well presented. To top it all, the drinks bill for the whole table, we were told, could only be split into 2 as the staff would be too busy to prepare individual bills. This meant that as guests, we had to remember our own personal drinks, find them on the given receipt, cross off once found, total, then pay. Beers, for example, were all put together on the receipt, so you had to total your consumption and do all the sums before passing the paperwork onto the next couple. Really? What a mess! So much confusion which should not have happened. We were the guests and not paid employees to do this. It was OUR night out. Our party organiser and his wife had worked so hard in getting us all together....a lovely evening, with a somewhat bitter taste. Work out if there will be a return visit.

   The food looked amazing as you can see and the waitresses were very nice and polite. However the taste was below average and the staff didn’t have the training of who to pour the wine for first, which side of the knife should face the plate, etc. If they claim to be fine dining they need to work on that. The pianist was also banging on the piano. The atmosphere was nice though and ample parking. The toilets could be fresher and nicer too. We paid 50 pounds per head for two courses plus one cocktail which is not cheap for Brentwood.
