We ordered chilli paneer, but were given undercooked paneer tikka. The butter chicken, on the other hand, was overcooked, dry and oddly sweet. The cheese naan was also sweet in an off-putting way. Extremely disappointing given the price points. The only thing that was okay was the plain boiled rice, which says it all.
Some of the food was good. But the byriani was absolutely awful, I've never had sweetcorn in my byriani. It made the dish so sweet. I would never recommend this place for the food. The service was a good and the people nice though.
We use Spices on a regular basis for takeaways. Nice food, reasonably priced and substantial portions!! Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Seems to be very popular with diners. May try that in the future next few weeks. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, best byriani ever. Huge portions. Kind waiters. Our kids age 9 and 11 loved chicken curry and naan breads. Lovely atmosphere. Warm. Spotless toilets. On street parking.
Freshly cooked food and very good customer service. The food in the UK is currently the worst it's been in 30 years. Rarely do you find a restaurant where you are served freshly cooked food. At the Spices they actually made an effort and it was rather pleasant. We will return and eat here again. Highly recommended.

Disappointed, waited a long time for Spices to open after their fire but what a let down. Food delivered was cold , curry and rice can be ok warmed in a microwave but onion bhajis were only good for the bin after heating up. Pickles and onion salad were missing from my order so dry poppadoms were wasted as well. I tried to contact Spices to let them know in the hope that my order could be rectified but the phone was permanently engaged
Been coming here with the family for years and never once has it failed to impress. Food, service and hospitality is outstanding. Highly recommend.
Staying in Datchet for the weekend, we chose to eat in Spices Indian. Smart from the outside, beautifully presented inside. Large restaurant, with an excellent menu. Highly recommended a visit. Prompt, efficient service with a smile. Most reasonable prices. Definitely a restaurant to return to.
Spices easily accommodated a 10 seated table with no problem. With fantastic service and huge variety of classic and unique Indian dishes. I and the whole table was really impressed with the food. The service was excellent with always someone to hand walking by or checking up on us. Our party went on a Thursday night and there were other tables too but the quantity of food was no problem! Being in the centre of Datchet, you can't miss the restaurant and if you haven't been then definitely try something mild and spicy in Spices Indian Cuisine Restaurant.
