Where do we start . Took ages for starters to arrive . He didn’t even take our whole order . Came back 20 minutes later and then decided to take our order . Starving and hungry already then we waited over a hour for the food to arrive it was the worst experience and service ever . Then when food arrived it was such a small portion . Curry’s are served in plates not even in proper dishes. Left the restaurants with empty stomach . Such a disappointment and left dissatisfied . Definitely wouldn’t recommend going there.

Spice 85 in Watford is truly one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to! From the moment I stepped in, I was transported straight to the heart of India. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and vibrant, creating an authentic and immersive dining experience. The food was absolutely spot-on. Each dish was bursting with flavor, cooked to perfection, and tasted incredibly authentic. It’s clear that great care is taken in crafting every meal. It’s rare to find a place where the food genuinely gives you the feeling of being in India, but Spice 85 achieved that effortlessly. The staff were exceptional—friendly, helpful, and always attentive without being intrusive. Their warmth and professionalism added to the overall experience, making it not just a meal but a memorable outing. If you’re looking for outstanding Indian cuisine in Watford, Spice 85 is a must-visit. I cannot recommend it enough and will definitely be returning soon!

When you have to cook your own rice to go with your meal! slightly disappointed as I had high hopes for this restaurant the only suggestion was for me to go back after they made the mistake! A delivery to rectify the situation would have avoided this review won’t be ordering again here, I had a 2 minute conversation with the waiter around a biryani dish I was given a container full of sauce and 5 bits of meat for £11 odd I was then told no you ordered a lamb curry only which was not what was asked for, no empathy to rectify a situation which was clearly the fault of yours not mine. My review has nothing to do with artificial colouring or the PILAU rice

I live in the area and I've walked passed this place multiple times and have been curious to come and try it, which i finally did on Sunday night with my mate. As soon as we came in at 7pm ish, about a third of the restaurant was full and we were given our seats. The interior was very nice and classy, and the place had a high quality look. We sat down, was given poppadoms with some great sauces, it tasted insane. I got the lamp chops for starters, were amazing, and then Chicken Relaza for main, and the best part is that in between courses, you don't get hungry, because you have the poppadoms. And the food seriously tastes ridiculously good. Anyway, I left and started walking home with my mate, it was really cold, and after about 10 minutes, i realised i left my phone, so we had to walk all the way back, to find one of the waiter Kush, wearing a jacket and telling us he had just ran trying to find us to give me my phone, which was obviously really nice of him. Anyway I got my phone back, spoke to Kush for a bit with my mate, and then he offered to drive us home, which was amazingly kind of him, on top of how cold it was. Anyway, probably the best restaurant experiences i've had.

Great service from Spice 85, my mate and I went for a quick dinner tonight and my god the food was fantasitic! All the staff were extremely helpful and sociable, when my friend ordered his meal a bit too spicy, the waiter immediately offered to sort it out without us even complaining or mentioning it, came back 2 minutes later with the food all sorted. Where to even start with the meals, I had the Tandoori Lamb chops and for the first time in my life I've wanted to use the word exquisite to describe food, the food was absolutely top notch, felt like I was in the middle of Dhaka, the food was authentic fresh and filled with the most lovely spices and herbs! The drink menu was expansive and great, and the cherry on top of the already massively delicious cake is that when my friend left his phone at the restaurant, the manager Kush ran up the hill in -3 degrees weather to try find us but unfortunately he couldn't, when we came back he graciously offered to give us a lift back home and it was life saver, an absolutey amazing guy along with all the staff! Terrific night, will be seeing you again Kush!

It was great to see the local curry house is back up and running again. We booked for Saturday night and were greeted by smart staff and a new look for the restaurant. The food was fantastic, but the portions could have done being slightly larger. Homemade samosas were so good too. Everything felt clean, fresh and wasn’t greasy at all. We will be back again soon. Thanks for the great service.
