   today is my husband birthday and we decided to go there for dinner ,we order aloo chaat, but the manager tired to tell us it is aloo chaat but it was aloo sadgeko and that’s how we make it here not with the tamarind chutney. being nepalese myself, i knows the difference between aloo sadheko and aloo chaat. the food was smaller in portion, but the price was expensive, for just three starters they charged us around £35 and he tried to fool us by convincing us that it was aloo sadheko. im sorry to say it was the worst experience i have ever had . even my husband was really upset at the end . i would not recommend it to anyone .

   Food was awesome with mostly authentic Nepalese food, they also had a wide variety of options to have. They open around 6:00-7:00pm and close at 10:30pm, great for a dinner date and food usually takes 20mins to 1H depending on how much you order, atmosphere was great with sculptures behind glass and photos on the walls, staff where also lovely.

   We used to come to Montys years ago for the Sunday Buffet, so pleased to see the restaurant still open after all these years. Service as ever very pleasant , although a little slow when it started to get busy. Food was tasty, reasonably sized dishes but not as good as we remember. Good value for 3 people for £50.

   Takeaway ordered which was awful. Asked for a peshwari Nan and got a Nan of half size with a tasteless orange stain in the middl, no almond at all. Sag Aloo was like a mouthful of salt. Chicken tikka masala barely tasted of masala. This and pint of lager while waiting cost nearly £27 .absolute rubbish. Looks like a nice restaurant from outside , looks clean and crisp but the food I got did not match the appearance. After reading the positive reviews here , I noticed that they are mostly at least two years old.

   Restaurant has been in business since 1989 which speaks volumes for its reputation. This was our first since pre covid days but had been there many times over the years. Easy access from Kingston train station - less than 5 minutes walk. We always head for the quieter area at the rear - nice decor too! Reasonable prices - you can have a vegetable dish as main course for £6.20 - Sag Bhaji pictured - main courses such as Moglai Curry for £11.25 - pictured. Service is quick & staff polite. We'll be back!

   Very slow service. Food and drinks were forgotten about, and service was awful. You can’t relax at dinner as you have to constantly remind staff for things. Not a great dining experience.

   We,four had a birthday party to celebrate.We,were greeted at the four by a smilingember of the staff making us feel so special ie better than family !!!.The decor, facilities and food with the exclusive service was totally awesome. We,will surely come back again.We,just could not believe the indivual and extra special service with normal charges that we were happy to pay without question. MONTY'S was examplery,truly.The, staff and the manager were ever so so helpful. The,car parking' slot' was a huge help,too.We, wish other restaurants could follow in their footsteps,too.Every, wish we asked was fulfilled ,fully with a smile.A,very big THANK YOU to the staff and the management for their friendly,clean and ever so lovely experience we enjoyed.We,shall be back soon.
