Iβm really disappointed with my recent order from Chennai Dosa. We ordered the chicken soup, but it was not up to the mark at all. The quality and taste were far below expectations, and it didnβt feel fresh or properly prepared. This was very disappointing, especially .I hope the team takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality going forward no welcoming for the customer very bad service.

Consistency absolutely disgusting In the neglect of Chennai this is a well struck disgrace they should be ashamed of putting Chennai on the front of their restaurant please for your own sake donβt come here, the food ? Inedible I wouldnβt feed it to my worst enemy . Food was visibly old. β filled dosa β more like speck of potatoe and a lump of undercooked dosa batter this is a disgrace to the name Chennai the coffee was downright horrible consisting of more milk than coffee the sambar vada was disgusting they got my order wrong , didnβt apologise had no remorse or sense of shame to offer to reimburse us or not charge us for it sambar tasted a few years old for your on sake donβt do it go to Hounslow or tooting or tolworth, at this point anywhere . Didnβt want keep receipt as it remind me of that disgusting lump of stuff they put on a plate , overcharged us and called it food the staff took forever priortising just eat orders over people who take the time to support them in store and no hospitaltiy long waiting time we were willing to cancel the order and move one with our day and itβs a shame we HAVE to give a star to writes this if I could I would btw

Authentic South Indian food served by friendly staff. The young lady was exceptionally accommodating. The buffet was definitely worth the price. Tea and coffee both offer an authentic taste.

Really regret going here, I ordered a chicken chukka which is supposed to be a dry starter dish. What came looked like chicken curry (pic added), so I called the waitress back to ask why it was not dry and she said the waiter made a mistake and overcooked the chicken so had to make it more saucy to make it taste okay. This was never mentioned to me when I was first served. I then made a point that the chukka was not nice but no deduction was offered even though the chef didn't make me what I ordered. Also toilets were disgusting and tables were dirty. Avoid this place and go to one of the other top quality sri lankan / south indian restaurants in New Malden.

Very honest review- 1. Waited more than 1hr for food 2. Very poor customer service 3. No napkins on the table 4. Food was very oily- kothu and fish fry 5.we ordered masala Dosa, undercooked, not crispy and soggy and very less filling. 6. They served kothu with raitha( not the correct combination, it should be served with gravy) 7. Other customers that were there was also complaining but the staff didn't respond well. 8. Staff and customer service was not professional 9.Not very clean toilets. 10. When asked for water, the staff brought out just washed wet tumblers with a jug of water. Very poor...we were shocked. We will not be returning and will not recommend!

Been to this restaurant many times, and the food has always been good. On a Saturday, we tried the Bfast buffet, and it was ok. While the choice was good, the dosa was not prepared to usual standards and was a bit dissapointing.

More cafe than restaurant experience, however the food is wonderful. All the Dosas are so tasty, tandoori chicken was beautifully presented. Best of all was the Kadai Paneer curry with it's lovely thick rich curry sauce, this always varies in quality but this was the best yet! Please don't change it!

If you want a really tasty dosa this is definitely a place to go. There's loads of choice and the food comes out hot. The decor is basic but clean. The service is always something left to be desired. They're not really attentive and you will have to constantly ask for stuff as they don't anticipate customers needs at all. For example just having water, they didn't bring enough for everyone and once the jug was empty it was not refilled. Then the staff had a very loud discussion on the back, so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves speak at the table. They only get 4 stars because the food is good.

My second in person visit to this particular branch and this time it was absolute perfection. I had a small issue with a missing item ordered last time but this visit warranted an updated review. I've been going to Chennai dosa for about 15 years. Absolutely love this chain. This time, we arrived at approximately 11.30am. I order a veg parotta set and my partner ordered chilli paneer and a mixed oothapam. The female waitress (possibly manager( was wonderful. Very energetic, upbeat and efficient. The food arrived quite quickly and was totally delicious. We're already planning our next breakfast trip.

Be prepared to develop an addiction for this food!! Iβve been here many times and keep coming back. Just recently went for Sunday lunch and there was a buffet for a good price (veg options Β£6.99, meat and veg options Β£8.99). The mutton gravy/mutton curry is AMAZING! Service is welcoming and attentive. Be prepared to wait a long time for some items as i think they make it fresh. Well worth the wait though.
