The food was really nice, well priced. Did the lunch set menu. The restaurant was clean and had nice aesthetic. The staff members were very welcoming and helpful. Will recommend.
Poppadom Indian Kitchen is an absolute hidden gem. We visited with a party of 10 for a small Christmas work gathering, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff were genuinely friendly, welcoming and very helpful, offering practical recommendations without being overbearing. The food was outstanding. Everything we ordered was exceptionally fresh, beautifully prepared, and each dish had its own distinct flavour and character, with real attention to detail throughout. Our order included chicken tikka, salmon tikka, Jhinga Koliwada (tiger prawns), gunpowder calamari, gol guppas, chicken biryani, lamb biryani, lamb rogan josh, red ruby butter chicken, prawn curry, along with the usual sides of rice, naan, raita and kachumber. Every single dish was excellent. Portion sizes were generous, prices very reasonable for the quality, and it is worth noting that all meat is halal. The ambience across the dining area, restaurant and bar is fantastic, relaxed and stylish, yet feels like a real hidden find in central London. Overall, superb food, excellent service and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning. One of the best Indian dining experiences I’ve had in London in a while, full of flavour and individuality.
Seif was my waiter who was very positive and friendly and attentive. Food is quite expensive (as expected in the area) and an automatic service charge is added. Although I was happy to pay it this (for service not food) this time, I got them to split the bill so I could pay service personally rather than my employer paying. I find it awkward and morally wrong whenever there is an automatic service charge. Had a superfood salad which seemed to be primarily a bag of supermarket rocket / green leaves. Sticky toffee pudding desert was luke warm. I think it was just microwaved. Chips were fine, salad toppings were all ok as well. The atmosphere was fairly chilled though and service good.
Extraordinary Indian food, in a calm setting, everything we tried was an explosion of aromas and taste. Absolutely loved it. Very polite and helpful service. The restaurant is inside the Tavistock Hotel, but you can access it from outside too. It's worth every penny. Service is included.
Hiden gem im Bloomsbury area. What a wonderful dining experience! The food was authentic, flavorful, and truly delicious. The staff was superb—attentive, kind, and professional. It's clear they are passionate about what they do. Highly recommend this place!
Not the biggest menu, but it covers the bases and the food was delicious, loved those gunpowder spice potatoes. Place build to take a lot of people from the big nearby hotels, so not that intimate or cosy, but friendly staff.
Massive thank you to Yogesh and the team at Poppadom's for their hospitality, amazing food and great service! They accommodated all 20 of us for our Christmas dinner and everyone really enjoyed the food and the high level of service. I'd highly recommend Poppadom's Indian Kitchen for small and large dinners. The food was amazing and the sharing platter made so much sense with a large group. I can't thank you guys enough. I will be coming again for sure! My partner and I were looking to try a new Indian curry place and came across the recently renovated Poppodam. The food and the service was amazing, we had starters, main and a dessert. I would absolutely go for a date night. The lamb rogan was fantastic and the star of the night were the rose dumpling balls with vanilla ice cream. There's also a bowling place round the corner so, if you're looking for a great date night, end it here!
