We went last week and noticed the new management. The service was kind, courteous, and friendly. I was sceptical, but the food was tastyβ€”we were blown away! My husband had the lamb curry with rice. I tried the veg thali, which was generous in proportions and a lot of variety. I also had an idli, the best I’ve ever tasted in London and I am very fussy about my darling idlis. The flavours were lovely, and my thali had plenty of vegetables like okra and aubergine, not just different dals like at Saravana Bhavan. For those leaving reviews, please be kind. Running a food business is tough. Typing harsh words is easy, but try to give constructive feedback in person and write kind things in public. I run my own business and find one-star reviews mean-spirited, especially when prices are low. Please don’t expect the world. Being kind makes you happy, so it's a selfish way to be selfless. If you don't like it, eat somewhere else and move on.Thank you!

Excellent food. Loved it. The owner seemed excited to bring food to our table and was genuinely enthusiastic about food. I enjoyed hearing singing from the kitchen which shows a happy work environment. They also take card payments now, not just cash. Excellent, authentic flavours and I don't know how they manage such low prices. I would be happy to give more money for this quality & deliciousness of food.

We stopped by today for lunch. Upon arrival we discovered a new team has taken over and the shop looks much more inviting. We opted for a mutton curry which was really very good. A decent amount of spice. We also tried the idli which were excellent as was the veg thali. All freshly prepared. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and we were very pleased we visited and we will certainly be back again. Please do try this restaurant and try their delicious food. You will not be disappointed!

been eating here for a few years and has always been delicious and cheap and quick! feels very authentic with Indian drinks, sides and deserts, too. They recently changed management and updated the menu. At first I was a little worried but the food was even better, with some really nice hand made aromatic chutneys and still the same quick service.

Recommended by friends and I was not disappointed. Authentic South Indian food served in traditional way. I opted for Thali which consisted of rice, pickle, coconut chutney, Sambar, fried fish and squid curry. Nice and good flavours. I would recommend this place.

Best South Indian food in the south east of London. Very warm and hospitable staff.

Nice option for getting some south indian/sri Lankan food without costing a bomb. The prices are reasonable and the food taste is good. If you don't expect too much for the ambiance/experience then you are up for some good food otherwise you would be left wanting.

Extremely dirty place for food preparation. I worked in a four star hotel for five years as kitchen helper in my home country, the counter displaying food is not properly maintained, washroom extremely dirty, and food taste and quality not worth the money paid. A plate of biriyani charged 5.99pounds - with neck piece, and a small wing of 3 inch without any garnishing with the rice.. in my personal opinion this place is ultimately a KAi ENDHI BHAVAN.

Friendly staff, nice food, well cooked and fairly priced. The lamb chops are wonderful. Vegetarian and vegan options on menu. Have been several times.
