   Ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and fried rice. The staff were friendly and welcoming — we didn’t have a reservation, but there was plenty of space available and they were happy to accommodate us. There’s also a toilet on-site. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We paid just over £30 for two people, which was reasonable. To find the restaurant, you’ll need to enter the building and walk down the staircase: it’s a bit hidden, but definitely worth discovering.

   The food was absolutely lovely as always. The staff are so lovely and helpful, if you have any allergies the staff can also modify the dish to your needs. For such cheap prices I think this is some good quality food. My favourite is the papaya salad ( som tum ) and the Tom yum soup and I get a side of noodles and mix it in :)

   Lovely unexpected restaurant. The tom yum soup was a highlight and I enjoyed the kick in the papaya salad. The pad thai was a weaker link, good enough but not as flavorful as others I’ve had. Avoid the overcooked fried vegetable gyoza. We also ordered Thai iced tea and spent 55 pounds plus gratuity.

   We were brought here by a friend, and we couldn't be happier. A really authentic Thai experience. The dishes were all delicious, prepared freshly, arrived hot and very quickly. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. The desserts were a real treat, we had never had them before. The hot pots were also unique and very tasty. Definitely try one of them

   We are regular customers at Heron and Thai Zapp, and never had a moment that was subpar. The food is always good but our favorite is the pork belly morning glory stir fry and crab fried rice. Their pad Thai is also good. We have also ordered their mini hotpot soup that is meant for two, but one such hotpot can be shared among 4 people because there is that much soup to go around. The restaurant in the basement level of the Heron pub is just a small space with good enough ambience for the price point they are in. But sometimes you can ask a table in the pub and they will serve you the food there. We prefer that. Anyways this place has become our go to spot for Thai food near out residence.
