   The Christmas decor was festive! Food was flavourful and arrived quickly. We ordered a few starters and mains. Larb Gai was a bit too spicy and we couldn't finish it then and there but they were kind enough to pack it up in a takeaway box.

   If you’re searching for a restaurant that gets absolutely everything right, this is the place. The food is always incredible — packed with flavour, beautifully prepared, and served so quickly — but what makes Thai Pad truly special is the people. All of the staff work so hard - from the chefs’ ability to serve amazing, delicious food at an incredible speed and in such high volumes, even when the restaurant is packed, yet the quality is always perfect, to the serving staff that handle every table with patience, professionalism and politeness even on the busiest nights. Kushi is the heart and soul of this restaurant. Every single visit feels personal because of the warmth, care, and genuine kindness he brings to his work. He doesn’t just manage a restaurant — he creates an experience. From the moment we walk through the door, we’re greeted with hugs, big smiles, and kind words that make us feel more like family than customers. We held our work event here last night and Kushi went so far above and beyond it honestly left us speechless. He went out and bought balloons especially for our table, set up music for us afterwards, and checked in throughout the night to make sure we were having the best time. It’s rare to come across someone who puts so much heart into what they do, and it’s clear that he pours his into every detail. It’s because of him that this restaurant feels so special. Kushi deserves every bit of recognition for the incredible atmosphere he creates and the joy he spreads to everyone who walks through the door. We keep coming back not just for the delicious food, but because he makes every visit unforgettable. Also a special mention has to go to the cocktail master himself, Kumar. His patience is unmatched — no matter how busy the bar gets or how many cocktails are ordered back-to-back, he handles it all calmly and skillfully. Every drink he makes is absolute perfection, and you can tell he puts real craft into each one. He’s an absolute star and such an asset to the team. Honestly a true gem, made extraordinary by the wonderful people who work there. Highly, highly recommended — especially if you’re lucky enough to be looked after by Kushi.

   Great Thai food. Friendly staff. Not many places that I’ve discovered that offer authentic Thai food. This restaurant comes very close. Delicious food with friendly staff. Park in Morrisons car park free for 2 hours. We went for a birthday and mentioned it to staff and they kindly bought out a dessert with candles and sang Happy Birthday. Thai green curry and Thai chicken basil was delicious. Well worth a visit. Prices are reasonable would definitely recommend a visit. Get a nice Singha beer with your meal to complete the experience. If you love Thai food I’m sure you’ll like this place. Will definitely return.

   Big thank you to the Thai Pad team, I'd give a million stars if I could! ✨ We came in Saturday evening with no booking but they managed to squeeze us in. (Don't be like us, make sure you book for a guaranteed space.) Even with our limited time, the food and service were not compromised at all. Service was friendly, efficient and it was definitely one of the best Thai food I've had for a while. The only thing I'd say is the rice portion is a tad small. (Tho we're just big backs). Thank you Karuna for such a lovely night! (Not sure if that is your name, but it was the lady in the white shirt with a little braid at the back)

3. Mooksie ★★★☆☆

   Some staff a notch abrupt, some fantastic. The young girl who brought our drinks over was very attentive and helpful as was an older Asian fellow. Two women were less helpful but the night was brilliant and the food was OK. One main was forgotten which ruined my friends birthday unfortunately but I believe this to be a miscommunication so no fault there. Six people withba few cocktails 280. Reasonably priced :)

   Bland moo ping and drunken beef and tough chicken, beef and pork all in portions too small to justify the above average prices. But the Thai toast was OK and the prawn crackers were great and a nice atmosphere except for the flickering fairy lights outside.

2. Wai Kuen Wan ★★★★★

   Visited about a month ago when only outdoor dining was available, on a lovely spring evening. Ordered a mixture of starters and mains, finished off with yummy banana fritters. Food was lovely, good portions and filling. Waiting staff were friendly and helpful, giving good recommendations, and came to check our meal was in good order at appropriate times. Looking forward to going back again to try other dishes, not a local to the area, but worth the trip.
